The helmet will be the toughest part to produce anyway. Lots of round surfaces.

At the Gamesday last year they had a full sized suit of armor and you could stand next to it and shoot pictures. It was over 7 feet tall!  :O

Should be interesting to see your final product.

Justiniel, what do you mean as "Chicken wire"? What's the material, diameter etc. Sorry that I'm so limited.

A quick search on Google...

Chicken wire comes in many different sizes- you can get it with hexes a couple of cm across, up to perhaps 8cm or so...

In other words, a hexagonal wire mesh. Thank you very much for help. This will prove most useful...

For any armour try some of the re-enactment sites. Plenty of armour to check out and will give you ideas on practical things like mobility and ventalation. 20guage steel or aluminium cut with tin snips would make a sturdy a durable suit. Small hide hammer and wood block will get all those loverly curves on it.
Remember your vision as well! Its easy to end up with blind spots.
Make a cardboard version first.(I've only worked with metal and leather but thr principle should be the same.)
Good luck  :)
Cheers

Thanks Storm, that's the stuff I meant, sorry but I'm sporadically on-line at the moment so will have a lot of catching up to do when I get back to work
