Had he just hit the "Buy Now" he would have had it at $125 (about 1/3rd full dealer price) and he would have owned the gun.
That is what I ment, "if you really want it" is a qualifier I use before I bid on a "buy it now" auction.

Hi!
Agreed. I, like your friend, got burnt not outright buying an item thinking that I could get it for less and it auctioned for much higher than the asking price at the start.
