Well hello my 6mm friends (wives/girlfriends told me, but we are all in this together!!!).

I'm wondering if we can get a bit of a group together for play testing. I see a lot of new lists and a lot of lists that are close but need some love to get them across the line for approval.

I'm wondering if we can get some people to make a commitment to a group tooooo

*propose lists they wish to put up for play testing
*people involved can vote on which lists they want to play test (3 votes each so its not just ACs voting on their lists and we have a 100% draw).
*get a desired number of battle reports for the list eg (10 to 20) and leave feedback.
*Hopefully have at least 3 groups and get the required battle reports if they are going for approval.

Rules
if you don't contribute to the battle reports submitting/playing in them, you don't get vote on the next round.

It just looks like to me we are chasing to many rabbits atm?

Thanks
Norto

Great initiative! Tons of rabbits to be chased down, I agree. Hopefully we can make more of a difference, especially in the online area. Haven't been as active there as I'd like, but perhaps that will get better in the autumn.

I've been thinking a bit about this, and I think that the things that's long past due to approve are the World Eaters and Death Guard lists, as well as the new Dark Eldar list. Also not sure how far Ravenguard are from approval. So those might be something to focus on in the near term, and would fill some holes in the NetEA line-up.

I think DE are delayed cos of waiting for a new army champ.

My main comment from playtesting them. MW non-BTS incubi are bonkers good.

We're working through Blood Angels, Squats (still got another to post) and Daemon World here.

Hi Norto, yes if we could agree on a couple of lists to push through that would be great. Never seems to happen though. Best way to proceed is to get three groups all with a list to test and swop.

I’ll put E&C and myself up to test - list to finish - OGBM

So the Gargant Big Mob is one list we have then.

Blood Angels seems to be getting some traction. Have been thinking of getting them done for TS anyway.

Which other lists are close to being final?

Raven Guard are almost there, I'd like to see some stress tests around the build that Largo came up with to see if further restrictions are needed. I'll be getting some blood angels tests played over the autumn then I plan on moving on to bad moons

These are the lists I'm talking about that would be great to jump on and all work together on.

We just need interest in doing it all together. Will be hard with armies we don't have access to unless you're like me and play online. But I'm sure we can proxy stuff.

If we do this would we like to just work on list until it can be put up for approval or work on lists for a period of time or any other ideas?

As for the lists I'm AC for, I'm not totally sure which to push right now. The lists that have created most enthusiasm seems to be Alpha Legion and Hive Fleet Dagon, so I'm probably going to try and get those towards 6 reports each until the end of the year.

I'm up for finishing the Gargant list!

I can get some test games in with OGBM, though being honest I have concerns about it, less about theme or stats or the list (I've always been a fan) and more that EA as a system really breaks down when you lump lots of war engines in a list together, played sensibly I can see OGBM as a list of winning draws unless the opponent happens to be packing a dozen shadowswords and deathstrikes

I've only played against OGBM once, but my reaction was that the added speed to the Gargants took away their key weakness, and is a bonus that probably need to have a bigger drawback than it has now. Not sure what that ought to be however. Perhaps if using the extra movement also meant a negative modifier on the activation roll?
