A bit of advice please TacCom folk,

So after sorting through all my stuff to see what has survived 20 years in storage and about 5 house moves Im ready to start again
(Only missing a few turrets and about 150 broken infantry. Extra points to chaos for being unbreakable and boo to nids for being the most fragile)
Sorting progress pic to break up the wall of text!

Since I havent actually played since AT/SM era, everything except my nids are on the original square bases. They are mixed and I am going to do them on long bases.

But is it worth changing everything now to the long bases?

Does the rules require/suit it more?

I am a fan of how the long ones look, but its going to be a big investment to get that many bases so wanted some advice first.

Secondly, here is my just arrived Epic Tau KX139 Titans!
Sorry the pics are not great as its really hard to photograph the frosted clear material.
I think I may have gone about 5mm too big as they are marginally bigger than my original warhounds.
Pic with a biotitan and slaanesh scout for scale.

Getting to the point.... Basing for Tau titans? Suggestions?
They dont need dials, but size/shape?

No need to rebase unless you want to. EA allows for the square or strip bases. On the Tau basing, or any vehicle, there's nothing requiring that you do it. If you do I usually do just enough to cover their stand/footprint.

Thanks, I might leave my orks and eldar old style but try to work through everything else - especially the new armys since I dont have to pull anything apart!

They were something I custom ordered, just took a little bit of fiddling and work to get the sizing right from the ones I found. Was very expensive but worth it.
Can get them easier now.
