The smaller Knights look good, but overall I'm a little underwhelmed. I feel like the Terrain is very similar to a recent Vanguard(E&C) release, and I wouldn't notice a huge difference on the tabletop, so why not go for the cheaper option?

I already knew what the titans would look like. I don't know why I'm disappointed by something I have seen before. Ah well.

I'll wait and see how good the rules are, but at this moment the only reason I can see getting this is to trick the hardcore local '40k only' players into actually giving 6mm scale a chance.

I think thats mostly the base thickness.

Also the forum knight is more slender.

Hopes on using the truescale Warlords for this game or the Warlords from this game on Epic dissapearing, as that looks like 20-25cm tall, way taller than expected.

Well could work if used the Epic models alone, not mixed, on the new game ...

On the basis of it, apparently, being mounted on a 105mm wide base I enlarged the Reaver photo from the GW website as big as it'll go on my 60" monitor and got the tape measure out to measure it. Vertical height, not including the base, looks to be around 10.5cm too coincendentally.

That fits with what others have said too. FW and truescale is 1/5 of 40k so if these new models are 1/4 you'd expect them to be roughly 25% bigger.

Doing similar calculations for the Warlord I estimate the new AT model to be 15cm tall. How tall is a forum Warlord anyone? I haven't build my pair yet.

Yeah, probably pricey, but I'm hoping it's worth every penny because it looks, at this time, absolutely great. GW just can't seem to do anything wrong anymore.

One guy that went told me that measured 5 inches (12,5cm) with his thumbs with the GW guy, but i find it hard to believe that it is not taller, seeing that last picture you posted, Glyng, and i am currently doubting and asking him. I suppose also that they only measured till the body and not the weapons on the top.

The smaller of the two box sets (no models) is meant for just that.

I’ll have fun modeling the new titans but I won’t be building two new-model legios for intro games.

I wonder to what extent the direction of this project has been chosen as a reaction to existing fan-ware and such.

I suspect none. The forum-ware market is a drop in the bucket

I agree with Pixelgeek. I imagine their reaction to forumware to be slim to none. It’s way more likely they’re reacting to kickstarter hits like GKR, I think, but the game has been in the works for a long time, as we all knew.

I, for one, am excited. I have lots of epic titans already, but will get into this hands down. If nothing else, the warlords will be my Imperators when I want to mix it with Epic. I went into Ben’s terrain KS, But will get this as well. Never can have too much - learned that from Primarch :)

I'm wondering if I can "trim" them squish the profile a bit to make it closer to a fan ware one. Yeesh another pipe dream idea. = P

I suspect that you can get away with it for the knights and reaver but the warlord is going to have considerably more bulk comparted to the fan ones.

Apparently the Warlord will cost around the same as a 40k Knight (£85).

It looks too big to fit Epic, judging by the pics and price.
