Redid the carriages.

The bases end in half moons, so you can chain the carriages and turn them - within limits - without having the bases touch on corners only.

I'm more ore less happy with the design, except the bottom of the tracks.
I'm not sure how thin I can make them before breaking. It's probably best to carve a slot into the bases and "hide" the bottom of the tracks.

I usually use my Soup(SLA)-Printer, but I own a Sausage(FDM)-Printer as well.
It doesn't see much use, because it is not well suited for 6mm men sized miniatures and very small details.

But it has much more build space and is good enough for buildings - depending on the building.
We have a lot of hills, woods and ruins, but are short on buildings. You find some nice ruins to print on the web, but buildings are rare. So I thought I give i a try.

The building is really just a test-print to check out wall thickness, minimum frame strength, rivet size etc.
But not only sizes and geometry, but also the wall texture is of interest.

Design wise I choose the GW 40k buildings as a guide. Mainly because the panel system is flexible, gives quick results and is easy to implement.
That is what the first try looks like.

You can see that the overall size is ok. The door doesn't work at all, it looks wrong. The parapet is too low - if it is considered to be a parapet. Both kinds of windows are ok - did you notice that there are two kinds ?
The wall pattern is ok, but there is some "echo" around the window which isn't great.
Resolution overall is ok.

PS.
The Suqats live up to their name compared to the GW Marines.

There are days when you get the feeling all are out to fight you.

I try doing some buildings and I didn't even get a single good one. They look just good enough at tabletop distances.

I will have to make a major design change to get them printed in the quality I want them. Just do not know what the change will be - yet.

Status quo:

Redid the Iron Eagles. They didn't look Epic-like enough.

The new design is based on the Rhino.

I really like that! Great work, as always. You really should start casting your original vehicle designs. You would probably make a mint. Keep them coming!

The building designs look awesome, simple and very affective, especially like the church/cathedral design with the stantions and two towers at the end.

Agree with Apoc, you should produce and cast some of your designs, maybe speak to vanguard minatures about maybe sharing some designs to be produced.

Gaming table looks awesome also ;)

Many thanks for your comments.

Producing miniatures on my own is out of question.
It will involve adapting models for the casting process, having moulds made and miniatures produced, advertised, taken orders for, orders compiled, packed, billed and shipped, plus lots of other administrative work.

1) There is a lot of hassle and work involved (all of the above :) ) that I'm absolutely not interested in.
2) Whatever I do for money will pay better (by the hour) than producing and selling miniatures for Epic - and it will not need any prior investment. How many 6mm Rhinos do you have to sell per month to have enough after-tax profit to be able to pay your rent ?

3) There are also "rippers" I do not dream of to feed.

So, sorry I will not produce a "Brumbaer miniatures range".

No you just sell your STLs to a party that does all that ;)
