I go time to take the Imperial Guard Cavalry Army for a ride. I scavenged my 6mm cavalry stands and proxied a bit to get what seemed like a working army.

Ork won turn 1 and choose to start

Big gunmob fire at the Ragnaröks and kill 2
Lancers double forward to get into threat range
Small gunmobs hold and fire at Lancers kill 3
Artillery sustain fire at the big mob in the center and kill 2 grots and 1 Soopa gun. Lucky Cads
The battle waggon mob on the left flank doubles and fire at the scouts. Kill 2.
Thunderbolts does a ground attack against the Kult of speed, the ork realize that all AA is on the right flank. Bad set up. Kill 2 bikes.
The small Blitz brigade double forward and fire at the Lancers kill their commander and break the unit.
The Volos adv and fire at the small blitz brigade. Kill 1 and put 2 wounds on the fortress.
The big blitz brigade double forwards. Got interrupted by the Rangaröks overwatch that did nothing. Does five hits on the Volos but all are saved. RA FTW
The scouts marshal.
The battlefortress with the warlord doubles and fire at the Rangaröks. Kill one and break them.
The Black Dragoons realize that they have walker and double into the ruin in hope of killing the other exposed Soopa gun. The orks are however on overwatch and kill 5 of the dragoons that then flee.
The other battlewagon mob doubles under the bridge and fire at the fleeing Black Dragoons but does no damage.
The Blue Dragoons respond and double fire at the battlewaggon mob kill one ork.
The fighta bommas intercept the Thunderbolts kill both.
The second thunderbolt squad intercept the fighta bommas. Kill 1.
The Kult Of Speed double and kill 1 scout
The Cuirassiers adv and fire at the Kult of Speed. But only kill a bike.
The Baneblade double into the center. Fire at the warlord. Kill 2 orks and put two wounds on the battlefortress.

The Thunderbolts take a BM on the way out.

All but the Rangaröks rally.

Turn 2 Orks start

Big blitz hold, fire at Volos. Kill 2.
Artillery sustain fire at the advanced gunwaggon mob kill 1 grot, 2 boyz and 2 waggons. Prepping them well.
The remaining Black Dragoons engage the orks. Even thou they only are three they succeed to win the engagement with the help from the nearby Blue Dragoons. Only 1 nob survive the onslaught.
The big mob advance and fire at the baneblades. 7 hits all saved.
The baneblades s sustain fire at the big mob. Kill 2 grot, 1 nob and 4 boyz
Big gun mob break Volos.
The Blue Dragoons engage the big mob that decide to draw the Baneblades into the fight to be able to get some CC hits. 2 Dragoons die and 2 wounds on a Baneblade. 5 orks down. The big mob breaks and the only survivors are the soopa gun. The flak gun and a nob.
The battlewaggon mob on the left engage the scouts. Kill them all but loose 2 grots and a boy.
Warlord mob take opportunity of hole on the right flank and doubles fire at the lancers. Kill 2 and break them.
The thunderbolt ground attack Kult of Speed. Kill 1 and break them.
The small Blitz hold and fire at the Volos. Kill 1 and another 2 from BM.
Cuirassiers engage the battlwaggon kill them all and loose only two themselves.
The fighta bommas stand down.
The small gunmob double and fire at the Baneblades without effect.

In the end phase does all but the Volos, the Cuirassiers and the Ragnarök rally.

Turn 3 Orks starts

The big gunmob sustain fire at the baneblades. Destroy one (at last).
Fighta bommas ground attack the banelades. Put a BM on them and break them.
The artillery hold (double 1 rolled).
The small gunmob double into the ruined house and kill 1 mortar of the Blue Dragoons.
The plan for the Blue Dragoons where to engage the warlord mob that had been prepped by the artillery. Now they tried to engage an unprepped target. The boyz where kept at (safe) ff range but the fortress and nearby gunz hit hard and the dragoons lost badly only the commander survived and fled.
The big blitz brigade double and secure the other objective and fire at the baneblades. All miss but one Baneblade goes down due to the BM.
The Black Dragoon heroically throw themselves into the hot spot and contest the objective but do no damage to the blitz brigade.
The warlord mob double and fire at the Black Dragoons but miss completly.
Thunderbolts try to wipe out the big mob but miss all.
The small blitz double and miss the Baneblade.
Cuirassiers double and kill 3 of the Kult of speed just because they where nearby.
The Big (not so anymore) mob double back into the ruins and fire the soopa at the Black Dragoons but only manage to do a BM.

Both thunderbolts is shoot down on the way out due to some lucky AA from the orks.
The Ragnaröks and the Battlwaggon Mob (nob) and the Blue Dragoons fail their rally but the rest does.

Turn 4 Orks begins

Fighta bommas attack the artillery. Kill one transport.
Warlord double and fire at the newly rallied Lancers. But do no damage.
The lancers tries to engage the Warlord but hold instead.
The big mob double and move a few centimeters (the safe choice) and fire at the Black Dragoons again. This time kill one and break them.
The artillery sustain fire at the big mob (hoping for a BTS) but miss.
The big bliz hold. And finally the Zapps hit. The Baneblades are no more.
The Cuirassiers double and fire at the Big mob. Only kill a flak but break them anyway.
Tbe big gunmob hold and fire back at the Cuirassiers kill 3 and break them.
The Volos double fire at the gunfortress and destroys it.
The small blitz brigade fire back and break the Volos.
