Below are some preview pics and size comparisons of the first of several planned 3mm scifi sets.

All of these have been sculpted by Andreas Udby and were previously only available via his Shapeways store which is packed with cool stuff:

I'm hoping to release the first 4 "team" sets by the end of this year.

Ya, they definitely remind me of the ARM Flash. That's probably why I like them so much. Not a fan of the wheeled stuff though.

What other "teams" did you get from Jav? Rapier?

Yup, the sculptor has a bunch of cool designs.

@Dave
Starting out with Falchion, Katana, Bayonet, and Scimitar

I was thinking of getting most all the "teams" released first and then expanding from there.

See the last post on p. 2 of the "State of the MicroWorld 2017" thread; Steve implies they'll be available sometime during the first half of next year.

All of the printing is complete and paid for. Now I am just waiting on production molds. It is 13 molds in total, which is a lot...so I have no idea the exact date when I might have them in hand. I am hoping to get the molds by early March, so that I can start casting and release them in that month. Its pretty hard to estimate though.

For anyone interested in the business process side, the way it works, based on my experience thus far, is that when companies are just making the molds for you, they are not really making a ton of money. So they always caveat the moldmaking job aknowledging that any moldmaking for companies for which they do contract casting come first, which is definitely the right business move for them. I am lucky that they even do contract moldmaking, because a lot of the big casting houses I asked do not. So it is really all down to luck, with regard to how fast you get stuff back. Could be super quick, like 2 months, or if they get swamped, it could be 5 months.

Then, once I get the molds, I have to see how they run in my machine. These parts seem pretty straightforward, so I don't anticipate any problems.

I should also have a bunch of 3mm scifi buildings in resin to release at the same time, courtesy of KaJo himself!

3mm scale sci fi buildings would be awesome and great! I endorse them entirely! And just to note: I consider the past year's Modular Cybertank to be a 3mm scale advance release! Can't wait to see these NCE guys in metal to match!

I concur. A release of buildings would be great and who needs Ogres when we've got these fine!

Master mold is finished, just waiting on the production molds. I feel like around mid-April might actually be a plausible date for the release.
