I'm not sure Forge World is large enough to handle its usual workload plus Specialist Games. Blood Bowl's been badly hurt by the glacial release rate of new teams, and before they've been able to fix that they've gone and released Necromunda. They'll only have released three of the six core gangs when Adeptus Titanicus comes out (if March '18 is accurate), and each gang is apparently coming out with a rules supplement. At the last Open Day they said that Gang War III will be a significant one, with a greatly expanded armory, and it's scheduled for mid-2018.
Meanwhile, the Horus Heresy game last got a FAQ when 40k went from 6th to 7th edition, and desperately needs another one for the last two campaign books and all of the current army list books. The new (delayed) rulebook, which is mostly a reorganized reprint of 7th edition 40k, only addresses a few questions, those that relate to the core rules rather than unit entries.
They've hired more sculptors, and rumor has it a few were from GW and that's upset the mothership.
I'd actually be more confident about Titanicus if it were scheduled for late 2018.
Hi!
All good points. Particularly Blood Bowl, which its initial steam seems to have been squandered due to the glacial release schedule.
Which is why beyond an intial boxed game for the new AT I expect little else. I find it odd how much deusional thinking there is out there on different forums thinking this is somehow a prelude to "epic".
Not going to happen.
It will probably take years just to fully cover Horus heresy Imperial style titans and thier weapons, let alone xeno titans and that is IF it sells well.
I wish they'd stuck with their original "rules only" box set. At least I'd have those rules by now.
