So I quite like the loadouts of the new GW Knights, was thinking of making some epic version up out of the semi-old Paladins and Errants (post Titan Legions?). So having some thoughts on how to do it.

Paladins - Done, their loadout is the same basically.

Errants - Part of me wants to swap out the powerfist (thundershock gauntlet) for the chainsword (reaper chainsword), but I don't think the arms are the right way around ... anyone have any suggestions for turning right arms to left and vice versa?

Gallants - Taking those powerfists from the Errants and matching them up with a Paladins chainsword basically gives one of the new Knight Gallants, I was curious what might fit across the shoulders as a 'ironstorm missile pod'.

Crusader - I really don't care for the short and stubby, arms up in the air old style crusader. So my thoughts where taking a Paladin and modifying one of the arm's with a gatling gun the modern Crusader has (40k Assault Cannon?), the other arm just needs to be the old battle cannon. Also considering giving it a shoulder 'carapace' mounted Icarus Stormcannon, but don't know what would be a good piece to represent it.

Warden - Whatever I find to be the gatling gun for the Crusader will work for the modern-style warden, plus one of the old Errant powerfists. Than I'd want a piece to represent a Skyspear Rocket Pod to mount between the shoulders on the carapace. Like the Crusader I'd probably use the Paladin's body for this.

Also most of the new Knights have a sort of 'shield' guard on their cannons, it looks doable with some bits, even abit of card fitted around the barrel as its basically a sort of square of metal.

The only other thing I could think to update is adding heavy stubbers/flamers somewhere, but I'm not sure they are worth worrying about representing on the models.

Missile pod wise you could try something with a whirlwind missile pod? The mk1 is big and blocky and might work? Alternatively you could cut off the pods from a mk3 turret and glue together? They tend to be available from people's bits boxes as the hunter/whirlwind pack was generous and gave you 4 of each turret type...

For the shields how about plastic shields from old wfb kits? You could cut a hole in them or trim and re-assemble on the guns? Keen to see what you come up with :)

I very much dislike Knights. They look too much like a guy in PA. Unless you count the first GW release of Knights, which couldn't have been More Awful ! :o ... So I converted the ones I got with TL to Chaos ... Seemed like a good thing to do with them, IMO ... 8) May give some a few ideas ? [Got to take newer pics too ! :-[ ]

Those are cool, looks like weapon swaps aren't to much trouble. I was thinking of later finding some better proxies for Slaanesh and Eldar knights :p, but those are good for standard chaos knights.

Thank you ... Yes, it is fairly easy to swap out weapons, etc.

As always, your complete disregard for keeping your forces stock standard and uniform has my cogs turning. Don't know about anyone else but you've given me ideas.
