So ok just seen these very nice update, love the guns and the helmets an improvement for sure although i'm still not 100% happy with the shape yet.

Can the fins be thinner for want of a better word?

Oh gosh they look rather good - I don't mind if they have pointed helmets or plumed ones.

@moredakka I wonder if the wings were larger or angled down it would work better?

I do like this incarnation, though! Very swish! I suppose there'll have to be some reason the bike-riding Eloi get plumes and their ground-pounding brethren don't :P

I suppose it would be too hard to make a lancing-knight kind of rider with a plume, and a normal rider without, and have an interchangeable part with the obviously lance-knight parts?

One other consideration might be the mounting of some kind of heavy or special weapon on the bikes. I always thought GW had missed an opportunity with their latest Eldar bikes by not having special weapons.

We can come up with plenty of background reasons. From an aesthetic point of view I suggested it since a plume is (a) a nod to the old model GW did and (b) can aesthetically be an easy way to show speed as can be seen here.

As for the background, it could easily be said that these riders are akin to Eloi Knights of a sorts. The normal jetbike riders could be the standard riders or trainees, whilst the lance armed ones are the actual knights or veterans.

You mean like the Shrieker jetbike I've posted above? Or jetbikes with flame, plasma, and fusion weapons instead of the shuriken weaponry?

Hehe. Thought you meant this one:

Maybe this is the OLD-old one now. Man, I'm old.

@malika2 Ironically, the Shrieker jetbike rider's plume conveys very little of speed! But I understand what you mean. Perhaps the only other meaningful thing to consider is that adding plumes is a bit like adding furs: it adds something to the otherwise 'clean' aesthetic, if you know what I mean.

I was thinking all four special weapons are worth considering (and have precedent in 40K on Dark Eldar bikes, too). Even if you just went shuriken cannon, fusion, and flame, you get three distinctive variants to play with without stepping on the toes of a dedicated heavy-weapon platform bike. I guess an under-slung weapon would be the easiest addition to make, though you'd double-up by keeping the canopy-mounted guns.

Speaking of the heavy weapons bike, are there plans to do a two-person equivalent of the Eldar Vyper and Space Marine Attack Bike alongside these ones?

The third one is pointing up, is that on purpose?

Yep, just thought it'd be interesting to have it like it was hopping over a low obstacle. The stalks will be thin enough to bend slightly if that's not wanted.
