Really like the changes you made to the Jord. You can still see how it is related to the Juno but is clearly different.

Ah. No "¨" in modern Swedish, didn't think of the vowel shift. Thanks!

Hey guys - I need help. I'm working on the first tunneller.

Take a look at this image - which one looks better? The Hexagon, or the cylinder? Does it look to busy?

Note - the drill hasn't been started - but I'd like another few sets of eyes before I continue work...

Thanks!

Cylinder all the way, adding corners strike me as a very odd design for a tunneller, like looking for trouble. I love the concept of tracks for motion.

hex (or other sahpe) would allow you to get away from a giant screw drill and into something visually more interesting (see the DKOK tunnel thingy)

I think I prefer the Hexagon,

Rather than a big central drill like the old Imperial Tunneler, it could be 6 smaller 'grinders' similar to the front mount for your APC. Would make more sense for the hex body also.

I voiced this on FB, but it would be great to see some minis to represent veteran infantry. I think we all know what they're meant to be used as in Epic: EA, and all the infantry units need a stand of Hearthguard on the table. Your existing sculpts with mining tools could suit, if only they had a mix of infantry weapons? :)

Either looks great although the cylinder probably works better visually - and as a suggestion? Could we see the drill as more like a Hughes Oil bore shape, rather than a simple screw type?

I hav eto agree that a more 'convenetional" weapons unit would be good too. Though if they carried heavy versions of standard rifles, that would be better still ;D 8)

This line is looking amazing, love where you're taking it. As for the driller, either shape is good, I'd look at basing it on a TBM rather than 'giant drill bit' and see where that look takes you.

Hey Guys - So I've totally abandoned the "tube drill" look. The more I looked at it, the more silly it seemed.

So I took your feedback, and created this -
Image

NOTE - It's nowhere near finished.

I want a vehicle with the same transport capacity as the Jord. I also want it to look like it could actually exist. So I started with the Jord, added a modern/realistic drilling rig large enough to bore a tunnel which would allow the rest of the vehicle to rumble along behind it.

Lastly, I raised the entire deck to make way for an "arm" allowing the vehicle to direct itself underground. (I have no idea how a "tube" style tunneller would accomplish this - looks like it would just dig in a straight line to me...)

Thoughts?

Hi!

The drill part and piece seems to engulf and overwhelm the vehicle portion of it.

You'd expect a "beefier" vehicle pushing such a drill.
