Really have been waiting on these - any idea on a release date? Are they still coming?

Yup, they should be out in 1Q 2017

My release schedule got a bit clogged by the troubles with the modular supertank and friends and a few other things.

I would have slotted them up in the release schedule, but I put my funds more toward the Renaissance stuff, since the initial sales on the Microwasteland stuff have been pretty slow, aside from Vanguard's stock order.

I would say also that sales have been slow but then it is a niche range and more for skirmish gaming so we were never going to sell these by the bucket load anyway, will still be nice to see wave 2 rolling mind.

The figures do make good chaos rabble proxies as well so they do have another use.

I'm looking to import more of microworld's models during the new year once my TAX bill has been finally sorted and I know what resources I have left to play with.

This is one of the reasons I held off purchasing these for so long.(did finally cave in and ordered some of them the other day ;) )
I don't really want 6 copies of each figure, I'll usually paint 1 or 2 of each pose/model and maybe use an other for conversions but that still means about half of my purchase gets shoved onto the leadpile never to come out again which is just a waste.

I don't know, maybe smaller packs or more different figures per pack? I'd even be willing to pay more for them.
I've bought a number of Angel Barracks charracter figs at £0.50 a pop but I do realise not everyone is willing to buy/sell 6mm figures individually.

Anyhow thats just my 2 cents and I'll still be buying your figs whatever you decide to do, they are just to d@mn nice 8)

I'm in agreement with stroezie. I've been tempted to buy the wave 1 guys so many times but have never pulled the trigger. Having to purchase 8 poses of the same figure in each pack is what has put me off, as I'm a sucker for variety I'd have to buy all the different packs and that is just too much to spend on a skirmish 6mm game.

Maybe selling them in smaller packs or alternatively offering a bumper pack with 1 or 2 of every microwasteland infantry / cavalry figure. Same for the vehicles, I'd like to purchase just 1 or 2 of everything.

Still excited to hopefully see these guys soon!

I really want to buy these, but really no game system to use them for. I know theyd work as chaos cultists but want a mad max system

@scourn1, they are the same scale as car wars minis used to be I believe. I've just finished making up my own mad max style skirmish rules too, hence my interest in these guys

There are a few rules systems around, besides the classic Car Wars. Off the top of my head: Axles and Alloys 2 (free floating around the web), Road Rage (Stan Johansen Miniatures), Machinas (Two Hour Wargames), and probably a few more. Machinas is meant for races or chases, the others are more free form.

I'm planning on using Axles and Alloys 2, with some house rules I found around and some I've made. Most of these rules are scaled for Hot Wheels/Matchbox sized games, but it's easy enough to convert to 6mm.

Edit - I'll also use them for traditional sci-fi battles as one or two of my factions in a PA setting, along with some of the supertanks and regular PA stuff.

Chris

I will create an infantry and a vehicle sampler pack, given there seems to be more than a few people looking for that.

My reticence to do so is really logistical in nature, it is just a bit of a time sink actually making the packs. Not so much for the vehicles, but definitely for the infantry.

Marketing to a solely skirmish-level crowd is a tough one. On the one hand, it would lower my investment since I would go for a more family-mold oriented approach. On the other hand, if someone wanted more of a particular subset of figures, I really couldn't accommodate them. There is also the fact that the expected sell count of a multipack would not come anywhere close to letting me break even on the investment.

Let's say I made a character pack of 12 poses. From the absolute lowest charging sculptor, that would be 360. With moldmaking and what not, let's say 480. Even if I charged $12 per pack of like 24 guys, I would still need to sell 48 packs to just break even.

Anyway, wave 2 is going to be extremely skirmish friendly in terms of the packs coming with unique vehicles and poses.

At last, Microwasteland wave 2 is up on the site:

By popular demand, I have also added an infantry and vehicle sampler pack, which are basically like 1 of each infantry and 1 of each vehicle respectively, for people who are just doing some skirmishing or collecting.

Whoooot!!!
Christmas is early this year!

I love my wasteland figures, definately getting denizens I and II

Great to see the skirmish packs to !
If I didn't already have the wave one figures I would be buying those.
Any chance of a similar mutants pack?
I'd buy that in a second, they'd make awesome scavies for my Micromunda games.

(btw. I'll be posting pics of my wasteland gangers goliath gang in my Micromunda thread tomorrow.)

Would it be possible to add some of the mutant infantry and cavalry as fantasy codes in the dark alliance army for example but split so that there were packs with no fire arms and for those that wanted packs with fire arms?
