Great (and scary) mini!!

I just want to add that there are no 50cm range weapons in EA, so I'd adjust it to 45cm or 60cm.

Ok a bit of fluff from the creator:

From beyond the hills came a scream, not the cry of man, but the doors of hell crashing open and lost
souls unleashing an eternity of hatred, a choir of the dammed. In unison with the cacophony the battlefield
lit up with tendrils of light that moved through a spectrum of alien colours that had no place before human
eyes.
A crack of Bolter fire whipped my head sideways to see Commissar Badlock holstering his weapon, an
infantry man a few feet behind our main lines lay face down in the dirt, his faithlessness had doomed him,
I turned back to the enemy with new resolve and away from Badlock’s interrogating gaze, he knew your
soul inside out and he had only one option for the faithless, stand or die.
Then I saw it, the hills could not hide this thing, it dwarfed them with utter monstrosity of size, itself was a
mountain, a mountain that glided forward, detached from the land and lifted up on raw warp energy.
Beneath the floating mountain colossus crystals that flamed with warp power, burned down onto the
surrounding land which withered as it passed over, trees shriveled, the grass itself darkened.
One of our flanking units of rough riders was caught under the downdraft of warp energy and fell to the
earth instantly, I turned up the magnification on my monocular and immediately wished I had not, the unit
was caught in some kind of warp flux, flesh, bone and metal melding, twisting and warping into a pool of
something horrible.
Thank the Emperor, a division of tanks, were speeding forward, big tanks. Praise the Emperor for his
wisdom, praise the Emperor for his strength and guidance, praise... My litany was cut short as the colossus
belched forth a sickening purple fire that savagely engulfed the entire division, twisting tongues of warp
plasma streaked like a wave through the division, melting, distorting both men and metal in one entangled
mess. I felt my unit take a step back in surprise and horror of this sight, I immediately looked over to the
commissar, but he was fixed on the abomination, his bolter pistol held ready, as if it would make all the
difference.
The floating mountain of chaotic magic never ceased, we were all but under its deadly shadow when our
gaze turned towards several flaming streaks burning through the clouds on a direct intercept course.
Angels of Death, the greatest warriors of the Imperium, here when the need was greatest, me and my
fellows gave out a cheer. Badlock stood tall on the rampart of our trench, pointing skyward at the
Thunderhawk dropships, dive bombing with missiles and cannons already flaring. The missiles sparked
and exploded early against some invisible force surrounding the mountain. I knew our luck could not turn
so easily, the gunships returned for another pass, our cries were still with the greatest of cheer and the
commissar led us in another declaration to the Emperor, this time missiles punched through the barrier
and smacked into the tower that surmounted this floating island of terrors, eruptions of fire, blue and green,
unnatural in death as it was in life.
Then our cheering stopped, humongous demonic eyes blinked open, up and down the tower these wet
yellowing orbs looked around for targets, when they fixed on an enemy, the eye tracked them and a beam
of intense power shot from six surrounding pods. Two of the dropships flared with intense blue light and
plummeted in a death spiral. We had to dive for cover as one of the burning wrecks plunged in our
direction. The fiery mass cartwheeled over our trenches, exploding close enough to melt my visor, which
I had to rip away from my face.
I looked around, at the devastation, half the unit was gone, Badlock was lifting himself up, but was missing
his lower leg, that was on the other side of a door sized piece of shrapnel embedded in the mud. I turned
back to the battle, my naked eyes withheld something new and beautiful, the great eye surmounting the
mountainous death machine, was staring at me, staring into me, it looked at my soul, it took my soul and
replaced it with an understanding and knowledge of the whole universe. I felt myself drooling, but I did not
care, I felt myself raising my rifle, but I did not care, I watched the beam leave the barrel, stuttering laser
bolts cut down Badlock, and I did not care.

Hail the changer of the ways

So I have made some changes as suggested in line with the EA design philosophy. So looking at the Palace and upgrading i feel you've hit it on the head

I missed the Daemonic Focus rule in the original alpha draft, thanks for the catch. checked out the Support Aircraft yeah its big and lumbering do it fits.

I imagine the nests having loads of amped up Horrors inside throwing fire bolts and other magical missiles, I kept the AP4+ to try and focus its use against troops, it now has a limited AT and AA ability (6+).

I like the random move on the critical hit, brings in the character of the Warp Crystals without overly verbose wording.

Thanks for translating the rules (which believe it or not I do look at) in to how they effect game play, I didn't realise how much power 50cm AA batteries had. I just tried a straight translate across from NEG.

i like this rule set, I feel like making EA my primary Epic go to ;D

My questions to you,

Would Augmented Summoning (+2D3) be better fit for an vanguard war engine? replacing Daemonic Focus? easier to bring them in but not sustain?

I was thinking with the disrupt; make the Gaze slow firing so it isn't popping a unit each turn?
