The Trolls artillery comes with a little gantry way - the Vanguard novan artillery crew would probably fit in there? Though I'm not sure.

You can buy additional sponsons with flamers.
I recommend you talking to Trolls directly, it can anwser a lot of questions.

I've designed the Centurion Main Battle Tank for Vanguard Miniatures which can basically function as a Leman Russ proxy. A whole bunch of variants, allowing you to cover all official variants (and maybe beyond) are on their way:

(please note that the sponsons and hull weapons aren't all decided yet, also some of these tanks are still WIPs)

Leman Russ Annihilator proxy:

Leman Russ Executioner proxy:

Leman Russ Exterminator proxy:

Leman Russ Vanquisher proxy:

Leman Russ Demolisher proxy:

Leman Russ Punisher proxy (WIP):

Leman Russ Conqueror proxy (WIP):

Leman Russ Eradicator proxy (WIP):

Leman Russ Incinerator proxy (WIP):
No pic yet :(

These are basically the planned variants for the basic hull. A hull variant is also in the works, allowing you to build proxies for Thunderers, Destroyers, Medusas, Basilisks, and the Atlas Recovery Tank. So yeah, exciting stuff ahead!

If all your vehicles are going to be on Leman Russ chassis, Vanguard is a great option. They're big though, and wouldn't necessarily look right next to Chimera-based vehicles from other sources.

Here's a Trolls tank with sponsons and a long gun, a 3rd ed. Leman Russ, and a Trolls tank without sponsons. The turret's a little flatter and the tracks are different, but the overall dimensions are good enough for mixing - maybe not in a platoon or company if you're picky, but in an army. I have a FW Leman Russ somewhere and it's pretty different - taller and narrower, especially the tracks (which are detailed more like the Trolls tracks). I wouldn't mix GW and Trolls Demolishers though. The GW model's turret and gun are very, ah, distinctive.

3rd ed. Leman Russes aren't usually too hard to find on eBay for a reasonable price ($20 for three). That means it's
the Chimera-based AFVs that make Trolls so tempting. They're compatible with the FW Chimeras and not the widebody GW 3rd/4th ed. models.

FYI trolls chassis have switched over to resin. No change in design but the quality is much crisper now. Turrets and spnsons will remain in metal.

I'm not really sure if you're correct on size difference on the Centurion tank, mate. IIRC they were same but of course I've been wrong before.

Just for conversation's sake, I have my IG units organized by era. I.e. Most models in the IG Bns/Rgts, both Inf and Armor, etc., are from the same Epic Game version/era.

Partly because of the fact that I've been doing Epic since SM1. So that is the way the TO&Es(lists) fell out.
And it makes more "historical " sense, per se. Like when gaming WWII. E.g. ... You wouldn't have Tiger 1s in your Panzer units for the France '40 Campaign, etc.. ;D

Do you have any comparison photos of the Trolls APCs and a GW and/or FW chimera? I've had my eye on those for a while.

Ok so to lay things to rest i've done a few comparison shots so you can all see the variation.

First model is an old OOP naughty forumware model, centre is my centurion and last the official EA era model. My model is as wide as the official model and as long as the forumware model and slightly taller than both actually allowing for gun depression. The centurion looks a lot bigger from some angles because of the track module shape which for obvious reasons we had to change and we chose the extended engine deck from the forum model to. Whilst I would probably not use my model mixed in with other's i'd have no issues with useing them with other forces.

Question answered I think.

My take on it is that this is an updated design built from battlefield experience, think tiger 1 old, tiger 2 new. :)

Cheers guys.

We should note that 4th edition Lemon Russells were recasts and due to mould shrinkage, a bit shorter and smaller than 3rd edition proper.

No worries it was time to quell the debate on just how big my centurion is which as you can see is not much larger than other available models and will soon have a host of new weapon options available, with other uses for this hull to on the cards we plan to create an extensive range of novan armoured vehicles with this chassis.

Cheers

Great to see that these can be used with the installed base.
