It's hard for me to say - they have very different feels, with this one being more vertical while the other one has more and taller side bulges that visually widen it.

I'm glad this one isn't quite as vertical as the Cybershadows Ordinance Conveyor. That was too tall and thin for my tastes (my taste in vehicles, to be clear).

Hope it'll sell well, but... nope, those drive sections just look out of place with the rest of the shapes. No internal coherence of design, at least to my eye. But we've been around this already with the other Novan Elite vehicle, it's your style and others like it. I just feel sad that I can't get behind the look as the quality is great.

:o that's … massive? can't quite get my head around it (comparing it to Novum dictrum), any chance of a scale of a picture showing how big a 6mm fig would be beside it.

I'll see what I can do mate. The rear track assembly is the same size as on the mauler if that helps.

The model that inspired this one is also rather large check it out on their site.

following on from that, and having measured a few other minis, an idea has occurred to me … any idea on what the main parts breakdown will be for casting?

If, for example, the track units were separate, hobbyists might be able to get some interesting results by attaching wings to where the tracks go and sticking a long cannon and lots of twin heavy machine gun arrays on it. If for example, people want flying 'bricks', that hull + wings would do it ;)

Yeah, still though, 66mm long is massive? (or sounds massive, maybe it looks fine next to a scale indicator)

(i dunno how big the inspiration is, but eyeballing it and dividing by 5 this novum beast is still big? given that the marine in shot is on a 32mm base)

I think the length translates perfectly, though I only have an approximate length for a totally unrelated vehicle that just happens to be on my mind.

OK i've found the original Mk1concept as presented to me by Ben himself it was all his idea.

As can be seen it's not so big after all.

By the way, what about a Mauler variant that is armed with 8 laser cannons?

But aren't those more meant for the heavier version? Rules-wise it wouldn't be a problem, but I was more talking about that version with the two twin linked turrets at the back, two single turrets at the front and a twin linked turret in the front hull.

Even though such a tank kinda felt forced to me, as if they were introducing a unit that allows your standard armies to kill the new big toys that company was planning on introducing...

Kinda an aside, but will the rest of this line be getting the bigger shoulders treatment that the heavies got? I think it's a really good look

@ malika2, not sure to which tank you are refering mate have I missed a new tank completely?

@LeCacty, no sir only the heavy armour guys will have these shoulder pads to facilitate their use for a certain other period's aesthetic that is popular right now.
