As I'm painting and modelling my gang at the moment, I thought I'd be really original and start a mini-diary for the warriors of the 'Velvet Glove'.... I'll post a few photos of what I've finished so far, and as I work on the rest, I'll stick them up too...
Here are the first five completed members- 4 experienced gangers and my veteran heavy....

Jarth, my Heavy. He has been with the gang almost since it's founding, boasts an impressive experience total of 337, and has a set of skills and stats to match.... After being partially deafened in a battle against the Van Saars of 'Marcus's Lot', as well as falling about 15ft, he gained a bitter hatred for them, but got his own back by gunning down an unwary bounty hunter in their employ, and taking him captive. This resulted in a nice new mesh armour vest, along with lots of other goodies for the gang....
His autocannon is a new toy, to replace his old heavy stubber.. and adds even more menace to the 'Glove... as it should at 300creds...

Looks great! I was never a big Necromunda fan but I guess it is never too late to pick up the hobby...
Cheers!

Torvus is one of my combat specialists..
-Also a bit of a veteran, he has several combat skills and a reasonable stat line- he lost an eye to a lasbolt, and his left arm was injured in a melee, but is still a force to be reckoned with....

'Mad Eyes' is one of the more average gangers of the 'Glove- he usually manages to pin someone down with his trusty lasgun however, and has a few useful skills, so is definatly worth keeping around...

'Fast' Jon has worked his way up from a puny juve, and is now a crack shot with his trusty bolter (with a BS of 6 he doesn't miss much!), especially with it's red-dot laser sight to add that extra accuracy....
He got the nickname 'fast' while still a juve, when he managed to survive a combat (and take out his opponent with knife and autopistol) against a tooled-up close combat monster from a rival gang, all down to his 'step aside' skill (4+ dodge save against CC hits..)..

Kurt, another CC specialist...
Kurt also started off as a Juve, and soon developed characteristics that merited a chainsword and bolt pistol when he graduated to ganger status... He has a selection of CC skills to back up his weapons, and boasts horrible scars which cause fear, which is always useful...

How exactly did you do the skin on your gang leader? It looks really cool. -Sort of like a blood splattered or something... Can't remember which movie it reminds me of...
Great work!
Cheers!

Ah excellent.. good to see other people can pick up on the skin- (its supposed to look scarred)- heres the process:
Basecoat Bronzed Flesh, Ink w/ Flesh Wash, Highlight Elf Flesh, Ink again, -thats the basics, then to make him look really scarred in some areas I stippled on some Dwarf Flesh, inked with Red Ink, and finally dusted on a little Bronzed Flesh to subdue it a bit...
The skin texture of the new Goliaths is quite bumpy, and ink settles in the dents nicely, which was good for the effect I was trying to achieve- it is time consuming, but worth it imo.. ? ...and L4- yep, they are a little 'over-inflated'...

Not bad, not bad at all. Looks like a great start to a great looking gang.
