Mike and Neil will be interviewing me regarding publishing Polyversal, our current kickstarter campaign for it, Spearpoint 1943 Eastern Front and other games of mine, and helping other publishers out...

Ken Whitehurst was previously interviewed on Episode 124regarding Polyversal's design.

Excited to be invited back to the podcast and Ken and I appreciate Mike and Neil's support of the game and KS.

If you have specific questions about Polyversal and what we're doing, please reply here and I'll try and speak to them both here and in the podcast interview.

Best,
Byron

Great to hear and looking forward to it, the interview with Ken on Meeples and Miniatures is what got me started in 6mm sci fi.

Hi,

Sorry, been to busy to post. Good work on the latest video by the way - very clear narration.

You asked what am I looking for ? Simply, a rounded impression of how the game plays.

How do I build an army? What does a typical army look like?
How big is a standard game designed for ? Skirmish, company, divisional ? (and as the answer will inevitably be "as big as you want" an idea of play time at each size would be good. ;-)
Perhaps compare it to some other games out there. From what I've seen so far it seems like a much more "hard" rule set - more like a old school historical game, rather than the more GW style games, which will be scenario driven - is that right?
Some idea how the army build will work would be useful as i have a fair collection of 6mm already.

I think the most useful video to judge whether it's right for our group is a two player game example.

Look forward to listening to the meeples podcast.

Thanks for the feedback, Blip.

I think you'll like my next video. It doesn't answer all those questions, but, I recorded player feedback (new players) immediately after playing through a full game of Polyversal yesterday at the Williamsburg Muster convention in Williamsburg, VA. Here is an AAR with a few photos: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ce ... ts/1485512

The video basically captures raw first impressions of 3 different players.

4 total games were run in a span of about 8 hours. They were smaller games, and run for totally new players. Players picked up the mechanics right away.

I'd have to defer to Ken on the style of rules questions.

Ken is also working on an audio walkthrough of how to stat out a typical combatant using the design system.

Hope this all helps. We're trying to present the game and what we're doing as clearly as possible. There is quite a bit to it, so that can be quite challenging. We're hoping the 6mm community, especially the veterans here, will rally behind us. Our plans are pretty big and I'm confident we can pull it off.

Best,
