Yeah I guess 6 inch range doesn't really lend to being very powerful FF as FF is generally equivalent to 18-24 inch weaponry in 40k. So yeah 5 or 6 should be fine.

Yeah I agree. It's hard to justify a good FF based on a 6" inch 40k range. That's better applied to the CC value in epic.

Oh and thanks to Kyuss and Adam, Army forge has the proper developmental list now loaded and ready to use! Enjoy.

I'm very much liking the list at the moment, but I'm curious about one thing- Why can the mounted Warrior squad take three extra Ghost Arks (but no more Warriors to transport), and isn't 50 points each a bit expensive for them? Are they meant to be Doomsday Arks?

Oops good catch. Yeah the ghost arks are suppose to be doomsday. I'll fix that. Lol its the proper way in army forge.

Changes include:
Fixed upgrade options on Mounted Warrior formation (Ghost Ark Changed to Doomsday Ark, Thanks Geep)

Loss to Orks in 3 turns 2-1, would have been worse in turn 4, but the Orks last action of turn 3 was good enough for the win.

Thoughts:

I needed a Supreme Commander and will find the points for the next game.
Doom Scythes are a better option when taken in threes even with the additional points cost.
The list still feels like a teleport and portal attack list which is what I'll try again next time.

Have had two games in last weekend and have to agree with tiny Tim. Other lists than portal heavy don't really work. Would be cool though, if ark heavy lists would perform better. Airpower is really strong. Overall many synergies, so fun to play. Living metal is kinda balanced depending on the enemy. Against quality fire itfeels kinda strong, vs. bucket loads of incoming fire, it fails rapidly. Requires different tactics than voidshields, which is fine.

Interesting - first list is 50pts over, Doom Scythes are 225pts for 2

The second list looks very nasty with a hunt the Monolith/hide from the Abattoir theme.
