I started taking pics of the game, however as it turned into a one-sided punchbag affair (as so many of my games versus dptdexys Ulthwe tend to do.....) I stopped quite soon, so I'm afraid it will just be a 'greatest hits' set of pics at the end...

I took

Centurions - 4 LR crusaders, Vindicator
Tacticals - hunter, supreme commander, razorback
scouts - razorback
scouts - razorback
terminators - chaplain
thunderfire battery
land speeder tornados
vindicators - +2 vindicators
hyperios
hyperios

Dave took:

mech guardians
mech guardians
guardians + wraithguard
aspects - 4 scorpions, 2 dire avengers, exarch
falcons - 2 firestorms
falcons - 2 firestorms
falcons - 2 firestorms
rangers
war walkers
nightwings
vampire

Turn 1

Ulthwe win initiative (which they do for all 3 turns)

both sides stall for a bit, storm talons go on cap, Dave attacks my poor speeders with two falcon formations, vindicators break one falcon formation, vampire engages a scout formation in the midst of his flak umbrella, storm talons choose not to CAP (8x AA4+ shots!!) scouts die but take a couple of scorpions with them, aspect break and withdraw into vampire (cheeky)

Turn 2

terminators teleport in, with blast marker, get engaged and wiped out by guardians with support fire, eldar double retain and wipe out second scout formation and vindicators, thunderfires break mech guardians, centurions double to engage eldar BTS on turn 3, storm talons intercept and shoot down two nightwings

Turn 3

storm talons whiff attacks on war walkers, eldar BTS engages centurions, after two rounds is reduced to 3 wraithguard who break and flee, centurions lose 3 stands but no vehicles, dave then tries to destroy them and fails, dave grabs T&H objective out of my range, vampire assaults hyperios on blitz and wipes them out, I double tacticals into his half onto objective, game ends 2-0 to Ulthwe

Thoughts

well nothing went my way this game, Dave had a free reign to do as he wished really, centurions with crusaders make a great BTS, capable of taking on most opponents, they roll a lot of dice but don't get obscene amounts of hits usually, nothing else felt overpowered.....

will add some pics later

That is an intersting Ulthwe list. How did the Guardians with Wraithguard do?

They did really well, marched up T1 and engaged T2, then T3 went toe to toe with the centurions for two rounds of combat before breaking but the wraithguard survived, preventing my getting BTS
