Hi guys,
I emailed FW a few days ago to check out a few things regarding thier presence at salute (namely if I could get the last 6-part marines I need) & also enquire about production plans for the Epic GKs.
The result was not what I was expecting & certainly sounds like it could be good:
The teeny grey knights are being made but Tony wants to release them as a job lot - troops, dreadnoughts, landraiders, the whole nine yards.
|
So it sounds like we'll see a GK / inquisitor force along the lines of the FW Tau!
Too many things too paint already & now I'm adding yet more!

Thank goodness Tony's finally mentioned them, been bugging me for months watching folks make their own when I knew they had been done and couldn't say anything . They look the biz I have to say, especially the GK Terminators, some of Will's most detailed work, even including all the tiny heraldic armour plates on the legs and arms!
Your going to have fun painting all the tiny little markings, especially the storm bolters on the gauntlets
Regards Carl

Hi Carl,
I know well how you've felt. Will nabbed the plan for the first of these after we talked about epic GKs at a show months back - needless to say He's blown my pathetic conversions well out of the water as usual!
He sent me pics of the first Terminator a while back & said he was working on 5 versions of the Terminators & 5 in power armour (but he didnt know if they'd see production back then).
I had no idea that they were planning on doing morethan just the basic infantry (not that they're in any way basic from the pics he sent me!).
I havent been able to contact him directly lately - Do you know any further info you can pass on regarding what will be included?

I am pleased that they are doing all the models, as I was going to get some new Land Raiders and convert them, now I won't need to.
Is this a first for this forum , sent from an iPAQ using GPRS from a moving train...

Sorry Jimbo, been using a Dell Axim to post for the past 9 months, hence all the typo's I make ? Glad to see I'm not the only saddo using a PDA and GPRS to browse forums hehe.
Anyways, to answer Paul's question, I wish I could say more. It's not a deliberate attempt to be deliberately obtuse or cruel, I honestly hand on heart wish I could tell you guys stuff that's in planning or has been produced, but it's just not ethical from my point of view. I'm fortunate in the fact that I get to see quite a lot that goes on well in advance, but the downside is I can't share it with anyone (which believe it or not is a real bummer, something I'm sure Paul will back me up on)
All I can say is from what I have seen recently Epic is gaining more momentum then even I expected and models are/have been produced that frankly I never really anticipated even half way through the EA project (The Grey Knights a good example).
Regardless of opinion, debate and rumour I can assure you than I know for a fact I am going to have my hands full painting Epic for a good number of years yet to come.
On reflection, I'm not actually sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing...I do have to fit 40K tourny armies into there somewhere! ?
Sorry I can't be more enlightening than that ? Regards Carl
