I have about 2 thousand infantry to glue to bases. Super Glue is just too fumey for me. Anybody out there have luck with less fumey glue for infantry on stands?!? Mostly plastic on plastic.

Fumy is relative (also I don't really know what level of noxious actual super glue is as a baseline to say if these are better worse or same).
However if any of this helps great=>

I tend to use several, the JetGlues (Slow, Standard, and Fast) depending on what I'm actually doing. For straight plastic to plastic, especially where thickness or other concerns about where it ends up getting on are important then I also use the old school testors liquid cement.

Plastic on plastic - you really should just be using bog standard plastic cement. I use the revell ones with applicator nozzles:

Good 'ole liquid poly is great for plastic-plastic, but that's also a bit whiffy.

If you really want to use superglue you can get odourless versions.

I just use a white glue for jewelry and such from the craftstore ...

For plastic to plastic, I've had good results with non-toxic plastic cement. (Testors blue tube) It smells like oranges.

For metals to any kind of basing (MDF, balsa, metal, plastic), I've just used white glue. It's flexible but generally holds well. The good thing is that it's not permanent, and you can always rebase easily without destroying your miniature or paint job.

If it is only for infantry try some pva glue (glue for wood) it is dirt cheap comes in large boxes and will hold without any problems. If you cover the entire base you can add some dirt on top to make some initial basing :-)

I'm definitely going to try the pva today. I've got some plastic cement (testors) coming, and I love oranges so I'll try that too!

Forgot that a lot of the bases are painted so I'm not too confident about the plastic cements but I'll give it a go.

Does PVA for wood work well?

I like using white PVA (the kind schoolchildren use) because you can pull the infantry off of the base pretty easily, but sometimes it's too easy. I'd like something a little stronger, but not as strong as superglue (and definitely not as strong as plastic cement).

But when it comes to superglue, the kind with a brush applicator is much easier on the nose and lungs.
