Ah yes, now it makes sense. IIRC Tuffskull had converted some Grey Knights using the forgeworld multi-part infantry :D

You're half way there.

The force will be mainly based on the FW multi part marines & generally speaking, highly converted throughout.

However, its not going to be Grey Knights. That project hit the can when Will Hayes produced his GK & GK termi figures & I lost all hope, so I'm going for a different style.

I bashed together a new list at the airport earlier today & it seems achievable on the modelling front & incorporates some of the suggestions put forward here.

Commander & Retinue
1 Terminator Detachment + Supreme Commander             425
1 Land Raider Detachment                                           400
                                                                          825

First company contingent

1 tactical detachment+6 Razorbacks+Hunter                  525
1 Predator Detachment                                              300
                                                                            825

Scout Contingent

Scout Detachment                                                     150
Bike Detachment + Commander                                     250
Bike Detachment                                                        200
Land Speeder Detachment                                           200
                                                                             800

Titan Legions Support

1 Warhound Titan                                                      250

Total Points: 2700

I'll be doing some further predators, whirlwinds & support vehicles at some point as well, but the main bulk of this force isgoing to take me some time to put together!

wow... a 60? tactical det...
They will sure look absolutely gorgeous, but that's an expensive formation... If i had the money, i know i would quite like to do the same thing...
But i like infantry, and i certainly can't afford 240? for my 4 tac det, not even considering Assault and dev... :(

Please dont remind me......

I've bought a few of the 6 part marines at every show they've had them at over the last 2 years rather than buying in one lump. It somehow seems less painful shelling out ?10 a time......  :-:  :l

I've already had a couple of emails requesting pictures of my marines / progress reports.

Thus I feel I should point out here to anyone else thats hoping to see what comes of this project:

This is NOT a short term project. I currently hope to have the force ready for Golden Demon / The Epic Painting Comp 2005. It will be a long while before there's much worth showing I'm afraid - if I'm spending this kind of ??on an army as pointed out above - its going to have to be very special & I want to take my time over it.
