Round 8 (final) results

Space Wolves def. Blood Angels

Adeptus Mechanixus PDF def. Steel Legion

Iron Warriors def. Ghazkull's 2nd Horde

Biel-Tan def. Ghazkull's 1st Horde

Standings

Division 1
Steel Legion 28 points
Adeptus Mechanicus PDF 28 points

Division 2
Biel Tan 23 points
Ghazkull's First Horde 11 points

Division 3
Blood Angels 23 points
Space Wolves 24 points

Division 4
Ghazkull's Second Horde 28 points
Iron Warriors 30 points

As you can see, almost every division was very closely contested (a testament to the balance of the army lists, I think!), and in fact Division 1 ended in a tie! The two generals decided to play a tie-breaker game of Battlefleet Gothic! The Duke and his Steel Legion fled to the safety of their space fleet, where the Adeptus Mechanicus fleet engaged them and drove them from the planet for good!

And in the first round of the playoffs!

I think we are all vaguely annoyed that Biel-Tan may win the league, yes. :)

A RULER OF THE PLANET HAS EMERGED!

This Imperial bastion has fallen to the Biel-Tan Eldar. Another beacon of the Emperor's holy grace extinguished by foul xenos.

This league was a ton of fun. All of us had a great time. We will be running the second Los Angeles Epic league shortly. Stay tuned!

Oh, we had so much fun. Was a great experience. I think we were all really happy that the division standings were so close, all the way down to the wire. It really felt like the title was up for grabs the whole way through.
