Had another game with the Knight World list. This time against the Steel Legion. this time i told beforehand how my list would look (same as when my friend played the marines) so he could tailor his to beat mine a little. We did this as a test of the list.
My list:

TURN 1: Knights win Initiative.
K: artillery sustains on deathstrikes destroying them.
SL: thunderbolts stand down.
K: artillery sustains on flak battery for 1BM.
SL: sentinels on left flank marches forward into city.
K: errants on right flank doubles forward behind large hill.
SL: seninels on right flank holds and moves into forest.
K: paladins in middle doubles forward thru the city.
SL: flak battery holds, even with the help of the SC, and regroups.
K: paladins on left flank doubles forward into city.
SL: shadowsword on left flank doubles forward into city and fires on paladins for 1DC (2BM).
K: thunderbolts ground attack sentinels in city killing 2 and breaking the formation.
SL: shadowsword on right flank doubles forward behind large hill and fires on paladins in city. 2 DC is made (3BM).
K: thunderbolts ground attack reg hq, hydra AA does 1BM, and kills 1 chimera (2BM).
SL: reg hq goes on OW.
K: marauders ground attack reg hq, hydra AA does 1BM, and kills 2 chimeras and 3 stands (7BM).
SL: tank co doubles forward in centre and fires on paladins in city. 1DC is made and the formation breaks.
K: lancers on left flank doubles forward thru the city and fires on reg hq for 1BM.
SL: reaver titan doubles forward and fires on broken paladins wiping them out.
K: BTS-lancers advance forward and fires on reaver stripping 2 shields (1BM).
END PHASE:
1 thunderbolt is shot down by hydra AA when exiting.
Sentinels in city fails to rally.

TURN 2: Knights win initiative.
K: errants doubles towards reaver and fires on it, stripping 3 shields.
K: BTS-lancers retain and engages the reaver. They do 4DC for the loss of 1 knight and wins the combat with support fire from the errants. The reaver withdraws into the city.
SL: flak battery advaces towards the BTS-lancers (with the help of the SC) and fires on them for 1BM.
SL: tank co retains and advances. They claim crossfire to the flak battery and fires on the errants. 2 knights are destroyed and the formation breaks.
K: lancers on left flank engages broken sentinels. They also intermingle the nearby shadowsword. OW-fire from the reg hq gives them 1BM. They wipe out both the setibels and the shadowsword for the loss of 1DC (1BM).
SL: thunderbolts ground attack BTS-lancers for 1BM.
K: artillery sustains on shadowsword on right flank for 1BM.
SL: shadowsword on left flank holds and regroups.
K: artillery sustains on sentinels in forest killing 1 and breaks the formation.
K: paladins in city doubles forward and fires on reg hq. 1 chimera is destroyed and the formation breaks.
K: marauders ground attacks broken reaver but nithing hsppens.
K: thunderbolts stand down.

SL: shadowsword on right flank doubles forward to T&H objective and fires on artillery for 1BM.
K: marauders stand down.
K: thunderbolts ground attack shadowsword for 1BM.
K: artillery sustains on shadowsword doing 1DC and breaks the formation.
K: artillery sustains on broken reg hq and wipes out the formation.
K: lone errant marches towards broken shadowsword.
END PHASE:
Shadowsword rallies.
Sentinels rallies.
Reaver rsllies with the help of the SC.

A really fun game! It was all decided when my opponent failed to rally so many formation at the end of turn 2. Even though the SL list wasn't legal i think it was a good game for intel on the list. The knights got shredded whenever the SL player could claim crossfire but also performed very well in engagements.
They are truly glass cannons IMO, which makes for an exiting game. You need to push the offensive as often as you can to survive.

Interesting game, thanks for the report. Looks like you've done the IG player out of BTS though.

What? I'm not following. The IG BTS formation was the Tank Co + Hydra.
EDIT:
Now i got it! I'm an idiot. Thanks for pointing it out, i'll change the result in the last post.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough - Didn't IG get BTS for wiping out the Lancers. So it was 2-1 to the Knights.
