Wow! These guys are gorgeous. Amazing job!

Love that assault Land Raider too, is that a custom sculpt?

Whiskeyjack, you are a man after my own heart.....fantastic stuff, so impressed with the clean white you have achieved (which fits well to mark them out as loyalist Death Guard).

The contrast between the bases and minis is masterly, these guys will really stand out even from a few feet away.

Looking forward to more of your work.

Wow guys, completely overwhelmed by your feedback - thanks for your support and motivation!
Next up are the rest of the heavy support stands and some more rapiers. Watch this space :D

@Luca77: I couldn't agree more, even though I lived in Bruges for 25 years. And you've made me really curious: why the bias? Belgian better half?

Wow. Just wow.

Really well executed - wish I could pull white off even half as well as that.....

Keep it coming mate, will follow this with interest!

Cheers

Whiskey,

Stunning mate, absolutely stunning. I think whole army shots will be required on a regular basis. I love the DG scheme, it really appeals to me.

Cheers
Aaron

Nicely done mate!

If you're looking to dirty them up I would suggest hitting some armour joints and the like with dots of highly watered down Vallejo Red Leather for a rusty effect. It will give off a reddish-brown hue on the white. Tiny splashes/dots of GW Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil on the white sections can also help tone down the clean white effect without taking too much away from the white. Just don't apply these in big heavy washes, even simple small dots will help.

At 6mm on the table a very light wash on the white will tone them a bit too if you don't want the headache of too much detail work. If you want, you can make it look like "chips" in the armour with a very fine brush, especially on vehicles - but that's my pedantic-slow-painter's view ;)

You must be a brain surgeon...
You've got to have the steadiest hand to paint that white over black contrast lines. Great army!

Beautifully painted - a real inspiration.

Can I just ask how you achieved the 'skull in star' device on the Spartan ?

Fantastic.

Nope, just a copywriter. Takes a steady pen, though :D

It was sculpted on, so I could just block in the colours ;)
