Mate,
They are awesome, simply stunning work you have done there. I love the bases, really make the army come together. If you haven't already could you list the products you used on the bases and a technique for making them.
Cheers
Aaron
Of course!
Basing material is semolina (I think that's the right word, "mannagryn" in swedish, a wheat product). I went looking for gravel small enough but haven't found the kind I wanted after my last box was out so semolina it was.
Paint is black undercoat. Then old GW paints. Base coat of Scorched brown, dry brushed three times in the following rode; Beastial brown, graveyard earth, kommando khaki.
Water effect stuff for water.
Then comes detailing. First I add grass. 2-4 small patches per base. PVA glue. It's a mix of a dark green static grass and GW's more multicolored "spring" grass. You know the one with small red straws in it.
Then I add the bigger plants. Using super glue. About one plant per base. Plants are from different kinds of plastic flowers from a chain of big flower stores in Sweden called "Plantagen" and also Ikea.
The next step I do is adding clump foliage of two different colors from Woodland sceenics. It's a dark green and a olive green kind. These are glued on using super glue and a pincer (to stop the gluing of fingers).
Lastly I add the light green thin upwards pointing leaves. These are also taken from the aformentioned plastic flowers. I glue them using super glue and a pincer to place them.
That's it.
I hope it helps!
