Hi all!
first of all thanks to the organization team for conducting the event. It was a real pleasure and I had a great time all day!
At first I wasn't too eager to play E:A because of the long drive and also the hassle we had with our accomodation (which was
altogether self inflicted), but after coming to the venue on Saturday, meeting all the guys and looking at the great tables I was
very enthusiastic.
I had 3 very interesting and fun games against great opponents! Thanks to all of them

I was especially happy to see so many Space Marine armies, since I started playing E:A with Marines but haven't for a long time. I
was even more surprised to see Space Marines score 2nd place overall. Congratulations!

First game was against Salamanders, with 2 Terminators, Thunderhawk and a Strike Cruiser. I managed a win, mostly to the fact that
my opponents plan was to use one Thunderhawk to ferry in 3 units one after the other (which leads me to
THIS rule question) and me
being able to destroy the THawk, stranding 2 units off table.
The Salamanders definitely score the "Assault of the Tournament" trophy in my book; in round 3 1 formation of Terminators and 1
formation of Devastators (10 bases total) were surrounded by 3 of my swarms and 5 Lictors near my Blitzkrieg, just waiting to eat
them. Space Marines decided to take the initiative and assault the Tyranids, intermingling 2 swarms and the Lictors. He won,
breaking 3 of my formations and killing a lot of units (hackdowns) and lost only 3 bases of Terminators in the process. Great assault, and a really good fight

Second game was also vs Space Marines, White Scars this time. Was also a great game, I benefited from my opponent not playing too often, there were some situations (assaults) when I thought I noticed a certain lack of experience

It was still a great game and a valiant fight on the part of the Space Marines.
Third game vs Steel Legion, I barely managed to play for a draw in round 3. Good thing there was no round 4, since it wasn't looking to good for me. My opponent played really well, put pressure on with his Stormtroopers, held the line with the tanks & infantry. All in all I couldn't really put pressure on him and bring my army as a whole close to him. Very well played on his part, I wasn't even sure I would manage a draw; next time I'm going to go back to my "march everything in my opponents face" tactic

Overall I scored 3rd place, and got a very nice fridge magnet, a certificate and also a nice Warhound trophy! In addition I played 3 great games agains 3 great players. So, I am happy

cheers,
Markus
PS: opposed to Koshi I think the venue was good. Parking wasn't too bad, it was central and after knowing where to go driving was managable. Next time I'm going to stay the full weekend
