Not when you're the blinking lecturer - sigh! As I lecture in material sciences, I was thinking about describing the uses of polymers, white metal, etc. in Epic terms, though..... Lecture 1 - the fabrication of dice lecture 2 - casting alloys for producing Capitol Imperialis lecture 3 - a history of squat moulds You get the gist. |
Where do I sign up for your lectures? ? |
Registrar's office - I hope you realise there's a bit of a commute from Finland to here....

I'll just have to find an explanation that proves I have much use in my work for material sciences. That way the company would pay my tickets plus expenses...

I wonder what the Dean would say. Back on topic - I believe I am the only Maltese person with an EA rulebook. Sigh - perhaps I'll pin a card to my back at the WH tournament saying I'm on the lookout for EA affishio - afficcy - afash - nuts.

I've often been tempted by the idea of making my warbands on warmaster bases with 7+ minis on each base.... hehe - that what be some really big mobs!
My excuse for not having done it yet?! I keep forgetting the idea!

Call me a traditionalist, but all my Orks are 5 per base. However, I do like your idea of putting 7 to a base.

I like the wild horde idea - in fact, if you have extra models, adding the odd grot, bike or Killa Kan to a base would add to the horde look.

Well I'm actually thinking about doing one mob this way for my ToEG army... I just dunno which! Probably just a normal warband... I lack the wildboyz as they would have been the perfect choice.
Or maybe mad boyz or something. Any how the more models on the base the worse fighters they must be... I mean - if 7 of my orks equals 3 of some other dudes orks in stats then his must be the better ones right?

Quote (Johnny Rico @ 12 2005 Aug.,09:23) | Hi, I have several armies and have played Epic for 2 years now. Just got an Ork army and have based them on various sized bases. I have 20mm X 20mm bases and 30mm X30mm bases and put between 3 and 7 figures on them. The reason for doing this is to try to get the feel of a barbarian warband, which in my opinion Orks are. I have checked the rules and I can see no problem with this. Does anyone out there forsee any issues? | I am doing something very similar with my Feral ork Army.

Might I offer a suggestion?
Take a cereal box, cut it into squares that will fit on top of the stand, take a hole puncher and punch holes in it where you want the figs to go, glue it down to the base, and insert figs.
Hey now they look just like the way they look mounted in the old stands, flush across the surface

Hmmm that's a great tip Jaldon!
Anyway - I started wondering about something: What happens if there are more than 7 minis on the base? And why is it not allowed?
