A question of pure flavor, the imperial dropships is part of the imperial navy or imperial guard army? If they ara part of the imperial guard is supposed that they are painted in the same scheme choosen for the IG army.

They were direct mail order, not unreleased. Actually they were marketed for space fleet/bfg, believe it or not. (go peep SoL for the advert)

Its cool to own one for bragging rights but its honestly the worst looking model of its generation. It even makes the marine landing craft look good in comparison.

Hi!

Because at one time they were ALL available through the mail order.

It was a very narrow window, maybe a year or two. During that time you could get:

1: psi-titan parts
2. Eldar exodite dino units
3. drop ship
4. warlord mk0 metal weapons

As well as some other stuff I'm drawing a blank on. GW never advertised this. You either found out or you didn't.

During that time I picked up all those goodies in primarchload quantities.

My only regret was to not have gotten even MORE! ;D

Wish I had known that at the time. I wouldn't have bought a Primarchload, but I definitely would have bought some of the above mentioned.

Hi!

I don't even remember how I found out. All I remember is that it wasn't "out there" in the public consciousness.

I remember getting some of the old hands that live outside the US some of the stuff. I wonder if it was even available outside the US and UK.

I agree, the model is cool, for me, but there is something wrong with the scale.
It will be done 3-4 time more huge, according to the illustration.

That illustration is for a different ship again, something much bigger, more rocket like with a nose that opens up. It has a name but I forgery what it is.

I have one of the dropships, but don't think much of the model. I bought some rare epic during that time too, even got it by weight got next to nothing as I was staff at the time. I bought a Psi-Titan for a few pennies and eBayed it for a few hundred. Wish I could go back and tell myself to buy many more.

I mean this illustration (for scale and purpose), that I remember appear, not the illustration but the object, the ship, probably in Adeptus/codex titanicus pictures as background element.
Is this the imperial (and/or space marine, it was confused I think) drop ship?
