You have certainly acquired a lot of old school orks sir, this thread does take me back to the good old days of epic.

Thank you all again for the kind comments! I'm delighted to see so many people enjoying my little blog, particularly when my painting skills are quite far behind much of the excellence on display here.

I was rumaging through my shoebox of Ork goodness today. On top of everything listed I have enough stands to make up a mob of each clan a second time over, plus I have dozens of battlewagons! It's a bit silly how much of the basic stuff I have! :o

You gotta love Stalin, he was the original cheeky chappie! ;)

Anyway, I added a few more units to my Deathskulls. This clears the way to make a start on the Snakebites!

Edit: sorry pics aren't great, I'm experimenting with a tablet (I don't mean illegal substances) and the results aren't too impressive.

Better pics of the above, and now without the requirement of having to do a handstand when viewing!

And I've now turned my attentions to the Snakebites.

This is the first clan that I've had real trouble with finding a colour scheme. The Ork Wiki said that they use "earthy colours". Well, that's what they got, Zandri Dust with Mournfang Brown and a Agrax Earthshade wash. My one worry is that they look a bit similar to my Blood Axes which also have a grungy look due to their being painted with Death World Forest. I may revisit the Blood Axes and paint their shoulder pads with Goblin Green just to help further differentiate between the two Clans.

And some Squiggoths. I think I posted these pics elsewhere on the forum but omitted them from this thread. Well, for the sake of completeness, here they are!

Next time, Wildboyz and Mekboyz Dragstas!

Hi!

I absolutely love the old school way your painting this orc army. I takes me back to the good old days! :)

Basing. Heh! Weathering. Heh! An old school player craves not these things.

Hi!

LOL! ;D

In my case it's more I can't do them, than craving them.... ;)

I've just spotted that in the Ork rules you can only take one Mekboy card per clan but I've painted 3 Lifta-Droppa Speedstas in Deathskulls colours... When you consider that my priority will be to make the card a Dragsta, it's even worse!!!
