Can anyone tell me what the dimensions on the various MHUs, the OKI Outhouse Utility Building, and the new Secure Building are? Just trying to get a handle on scale, and I can't seem to find measurements for them.

The sizes are rough so bear that in mind if you buy some and they are a mm or two out!

As a rule of thumb, always assume my stuff is 'heroic' 6mm.
By that I mean 6mm that looks right rather than true 1/300th or 1/285th.

My stuff tends to be bigger than it would be in 'real life' to allow for the fact that figures are wider than the true scale and they are based.

That is why my stuff is also more expensive than other buildings like say Brigade, mine are quite a bit bigger.

So for example.

Here is a Brigade small dwelling.
Looking at the actual sizes and assuming that 1mm = 1 foot, then we can see in scale terms the Brigade building is fine, it makes sense and is plenty big enough for people to live in:

The door is 8` tall by 4` wide, this is much bigger than any regular door so it should look too big when next to a figure.
So they have 'heroe'd' up the door to make it look right even though a true scale door would be smaller.

Here is their perfectly sized small building next to mine:

My small MHU is about twice the size, eeeek too big for a small building no?

But once a figure is based and put next to the excellent Brigade one, suddenly it seems a bit small for a house, and that oversized door even seems too small.

So you can base your buildings to make them 'look' right or you can make big ass oversized ones as I do.

It comes down to taste.
I prefer my buildings and vehicles to 'feel right', (by that I mean to look like they can house the infantry) rather than be true to scale.

Thanks, that's way more than I was expecting. I need to populate a few tables in the next six months and I'm trying to figure out how much to budget for buildings.

If you need a LOT of buildings I can always throw in some miscasts if you think you can hide them amongst the normal buildings?

It might help. At this point I'm looking at getting 12-15 buildings for the OKI-themed board, and a similar number for the Junker-themed board. However, I really need to sit down and plan things out better before I commit. I may be able to get by with less, or I may need more...

If it's convenient. They'd be a bit down the line in terms of purchase.
