Yeah, I see overlap with necrons, both with the floating monoliths an the many legged bit.

What about war of the worlds tripod type things? There are a few lines of miniatures in that style, though they might be kinda big for 6mm, and I don't think the 41st millennium has used that look before.

Yeah I could totally see weird floating pyramids firing death rays, some type of Chacmool-esque thing with lightning arcing off it, walking statues, etc

these guys do NOT need tanks with turrets. We've got enough of those in generic sci fi tropes already :D

Hi!

Would they overlap with Necrons though whom also have that "floating monolith" thing going?

Also, unless some one actually makes stuff like this, we're kind of stuck with turrets and such.... :(

That's rather why I like that approach. It's space egyptians vs space mayans in the war in heaven :D

Hmm, I'm not mad on the whole flying pyramid thing. Call me old-fashioned, but for me, almost every mini needs

Hi!

Tripods interest me because Dropzone commander has several models that look very "mayan" and are tripods.

Just an idea, heavy infantry could be wearing round armour to make them look like turtleshells... No kidding, could be cool if cleverly designed.

Tripods could work nicely; particularly as their shape could echo frogs. I'm not suggesting Bucky O'Hare-style frog tanks, but having long slender legs with a bulbous body on top could be a great way of suggesting an amphibious ancestry/aesthetic.

Having tripod-based vehicles/armour would give a lovely retro/ancient sci-fi feel, and distinguish them from the hovering Stygians.

Hi!

That sounds like a great idea. Be sure to mention this stuff on Deacon's design thread. :)

I was wondering, when Deacon starts to work his magic on the Frogs, are we going to amend the Slann list to include what he creates ,or should we discard the current armylist and start afresh?
