These all look like they'd be covered / abstracted away by the existing units or be CH.
do we have any stats for these yet? (sorry I don't keep up with most of the new 40k crap anymore-just can't be bothered)

I don't know any stats. Currently more interested in Flames of War than GW stuff...

Good god, that Khorne cannon thing is awful!

Otherwise, the only thing I can see that cannot be included within an existing formation are the Plague Drone things. Possibly a speedy-ish skimmer nurgle formation? I will have a think.

Everything else seems to be either applicable to the Herald character upgrade, or able to be subsumed within the general stats.

I'm glad to see they haven't totally abandoned the Khorne demonic guns motif in favor of the much more prevalent blades and chains, close combat only one.

It's awful on one level. On another level, it captures John Blanche's style (especially during the eighties) so well that I'm still impressed by it. It's a terrible design, but very well executed.

I've not bought any 28mm scale models for a long while and GW aren't encouraging me back with any of this latest crop..... perhaps this is their strategy, make models so shonky that nobody will want to bother making CAD versions....

Ok small update:

Changes:
Added Inv Save to the DPrince - seemed out of place that he didn't have one while practically everything else did.
Removed Horde Upgrades from the Greater Daemon Hordes
Juggernaut / Bloodcrusher name change and FF stat removed
Added in Plague Drones as relatively slow Nurgle scouting, jump pack, infiltrators.

I have had another couple of games with this list over the last six months, and I think the unit stats will need tinkering with as some points values are a bit off. Need a couple of more games in before I want to embark on this though. I am in the same situation with the daemonic assault rule - it is fluffy, but I fear it can be easily abused.

Also currently the only places to get Scout are Furies, and nurgle aligned daemons. I would liek to get it spread across more than one god eventually - possibly slaanesh.

New daemons models were basically:

Flying Tzeentchy chariot for Heralds
Khorne Throne for Heralds
Plaguebearers riding flies
The army deploys normally but everything can Deep Strike now

Everything else stayed pretty much the same.

Given that, for now, I am only adding in the Plague Drones as a new unit as I think the two chariot mounts can probably be subsumed within the Herald statline and modelled if you wish.

Also the Black Legion list has removed the Factions rule but I think it is fluffy to keep it in this list. How do people feel about this?

I don't think the discussion about factions was ever about fluffiness, it just had very little impact on the game for quite a lot of text.

You could tweak it so one faction's commander has less affect on other factions?

I think, because all of the formations in this army are necessarily aligned, it has had more of an effect. In the batrep I posted a while ago I am fialry sure it caused me to fail two activations that I would not otherwise have done. Still, with more games will come a better idea of the usefulness of it :)

lol thanks Engmir - the older daemon plastics are relatively cheap on ebay if you are looking to collect. Plus DRM do some great proxy models too.
If you do get a game in, please please please let me know how it goes!

So in this list the Daemons not using Daemonic Assault deploy as normal right? There is no summoning or removing from the table? Just making sure as I might give this list a go :)
