It'd be okay with me if they had neither disrupt nor ignore cover.

I'd happily go with this - Mole Mortars are a formation that I haven't wanted to use yet as I just can't justify them to my style of play - So this is more a theory-hammer vote than practical testing vote.

Thanks for posting Frosthammer! It gives food for thought to see what other squat generals selects. So far I've not chosen Goliaths or Cyclops, preferring Overlords.

Anyone uses Lands Trains? I find them inferior to the mobile fortresses statwise, but is tempted to field a couple or 3 in the near future.

Oh btw Forsthammer, did you use an online battle report generator for the map layout?

I'm planning on trying out a pair of Land Trains in my next game.

I was thinking of a combo of

1 LT + 2 rad bombs - 400
1 LT + 2 dragon cars - 300
1 LT + 2 mortars - 350

or

1 LT + rad and mortar 375
1 LT + 2 dragons cars 300

and still have room for goliaths, colossus or overlords in a 4000 pts army.

I can see the merit of both disrupt and ignore cover. But the list already have a a lot of ignore cover so my vote goes to keeping them disrupt.

Well I used two Land Trains in conjunction with an Overlord and two formations of Iron Eagles (+Hawk) over the weekend. My rapidly tailing off report can be seen here.

I thought that it went well for the trains and I would certainly use them again.

But I do have a problem with the Rad Bomb and Mortar Cars. What have been your experiences with these cars as I have real problems in seeing why I would use them?

I'm playing Tyranids soon and are thinking of bringing two trains but I'm reluctant to bring anything but dragon cars. 1) 'Nids have lots of inf 2) the mortar and rad bomb cost too much in my opinion, then I could just take a colussus instead.
