Yeah they tower suitably over my other infantry now. Does that mean that there is a taller version of the original supermen or are they still at 6.5? I imagine you might have moulded the backpacks on too? The separate ones are a bit fiddly sometimes.

I am interested in an answer to this question, also...

Lovely job on the Warhound, BTW! :)

Yar. The first lot were done at 6.5mm tall, the newer lots (including beakers) were done at 7.5mm tall as 6.5mm wasn't really showing their super-human stature properly.
I think the latter scale is better?

Yep, the new size is fine ;) CS the green liquid looks intresting im tempted to give that stuff a go, does it build up
well and could you just keep adding layers, also doe sit dry rock hard..

As always some great conversions and paint schemes ;)

Thanks guys!

Aye epic the stuff dries hard enough for our purposes, it doesn't have any give when you put pressure on it but could be cut away easily with a craft knife. It dries fairly quickly but not before you can do a fair amount of work with it and layering is very possible, it's what I've done to create the bloated bellies on the nurgle stuff on the last page. I've been trying to extend the singular horn on the prince model but it only seems to go so far, probably needs some sort of hard spine to help hold it together at length. It can be applied with a paint brush(washes out with water) and scultpted with whatever tools you have to hand, creating breaches in the bloated armour was done with a knife followed by using more GS round the edges for definition.

For gap filling and creating a smoothing out rough surfaces it's really good too.

Love those chaos boys, excellant. I thought about using similar sponsons on plastic LRs too. Will be interested to see how these turn out.

Thanks very much guys, sorry for the dark photos, think I might take them outside next time.

Best thing about 6mm is I can have a bit of everything without needing a small warehouse to store it! (That and my proteus conversions didn't set me back £85 each)

Love to see some up and close super macro shots. Love the "less known get no love" traitor legions epitomised by the NL & IW now that at least the AL and WB have gotten some attention.

I guess my main point is avoiding overwashing with black and brown as an overall solution (not saying that is what your doing) for shading (especially on small scale due to pigment concentration) as black and brown tend to make stuff look more dark than providing depth and shading.

Even with washing with color wheel complementary colors, you will still sometimes want to highlight, but hopefully not as much.

That tip re washing with complimentry colours is worth t's weight in gold (or paint, whichever cheaper)
Seriously easy massive improvement over the dunked in mud look I had going before. Cheers.

Washing with complementary colors? Like washing blue with orange?

Based on how the human eye processes colors, the complementaries make 'black'. My favorite pairing so far is red with a green wash. The ink or wash probably should be a pure hue for this to turn out best (otherwise other elements may still contribute to the dirty wash effect).

Captain, really liking that almost 'candy' blue armor effect, nice job.
