I haven't seen the movie, but at least to me it seems to be that a book is always better than a movie made about it. So if you liked the movie it's quite safe bet that you'll love the book.

The book is usually better than the movie ... more details, I think ...

Hi! Its hard to make a good film depiction of a good book. Things good in writing may be boaring to watch. I am reminded of the LOTR movies when I think of this point. It took a few "licenses" with the story, but boy did it look good!

Primarch | An excellent point, with a good example. Could you really have sat through Tom Bombadill cavorting about?
"Dune" also comes to mind, both the 80s movie and the very good 3 part mini-series. Some books just dont convert into movies well.

Hi!
One book I like in my youth "battlefield earth" was an utter disaster as a movie. I think the producers were kidding themselves when trying to make such a large story into a 2 hour movie.

Primarch | Wasn't that the book written by the head of scientology? The one with poorly concealed hatred for psychiatrists?
The producer IIRC wanted to show his gratitude for the said head guy by making a movie out of his book.

You are a happy man, mr. commissar sir, to have a place like that.
BTW, look at the _size_ of those mail order boxes!! What have you been ordering? Life sized power armour?

Yeah you have it good, man. My work area is in the garage, but it has to compete with every odd and end known to mankind, including, you know, that automobile thingy.

I like boxes...
Thanks for the commnets and if you guys ever move near buy the garage is open for gaming.
I think those GW boxes come when you order things like the miniature cases. They don't use them anymore. you just get the UPS brown now.
