5150 Wing Leader is a ruleset in the works from Two Hour Wargames. It's a game about space dog figth especially geared to be played solo o coop althought it can also be played head to head.
Remember the PC game Wing Commander?

Although I am not a huge fan of the 2HW games engine, I do have 5150 and I am on their Yahoo Group and really respect the company. I fighter game I can play solo might be something that gets my interest, although I am not sure how their reaction system fits in.

THW reaction system fits perfectly for this type of game as you fly your fighter and meet blips of unknown enemy forces that can be anything, incluiding a false alarm. Fighters react to spotting enemy ships, fire, incoming missiles, friendly ships down, etc.
You also have a campaign system that allows you to start to play inmediately and without any preparations before and which gives you endless different games.
You play always as wing leader of your flight but you can have more flights than one, even Capital ships.
The five basic missions in the game are patrol, attack, boarding action, escort and defense, but then you have PEFs (possible enemy forces), random events, unexpected situations, enemy Activity Level and Investment level, Intelligence, weather, escalating engagements and reinforcements, etc. that make each game unique.

Very interesting, I will need to keep an eye out for this one. I am not entirely convinced by the 2HW reaction system (and number of tables) in the 28mm scale, but you might be right that it works for this type of game better for me. Thanks for the heads-up.

You're most welcome and thanks for the interest. Regarding the tables, what you use in a game to "fight" is one table or two. The rest of the tables are used only if you want to add spice to the game. For example: You could play with the possibility of random events or escalating engagements and consequently you will have to roll on those charts to know what's going to happen, but you can skip this part and play normally a game only using the main tables to play which fit in one side of a A4 size sheet.

The game has changed its name but this new one is final (5150 Wing Leader).
Rendezvous is one of the two defensive missions you will be able to play during a campaign.
Everything is sitll being tested and I'd welcome any comment about it.
