I mean this in the nicest possible way but you sir are a mentalist! What size brush are you using?

Your new style Harlies do look excellent, the only niggle I could come up with is they look mostly black in the group shots, not sure it's even worth mentioning TBH.

Thanks! I'm using a Citadel fine detail brush.

They do look mostly black. I quite like it that way - it gives them some uniformity and a menacing undertone. :) One of my tasks is to experiment with better highlighting on the black areas though.

yeah, I've got the hi res originals of all the pics in a folder ready for Nick. unfortunately I have them on a PC that cant get online & I dont have my larger memory stick to transfer it at the moment!

The pictures shown are all around a 3rd of original size.

As a random side note- I went back to browse the origins of this force again, and is it me or have a whole heap of posts disappeared? It seems to jump from starting your first conversions to painting the "Phantom".... ??

Time for an update. I have just about finished my basic Harlequin infantry. 4 formations +1 Mime formation. Quite happy with the Harlies, not so much the Mimes. Black and White looks messy. Maybe I'll try to work in some more shading.
