I prove once again that for all the undeserved accollades I receive, I'm a lazy painter. I have 3 pots of black highlight pre-mixed with varying amounts of codex grey and that goes on almost everything other than competition pieces (and quite often those too!). All the suggestions above will give better results, but it still works for me!

Never underestimate the power of lazy. You think Eli Whitney (is that even a good example with a more international audiance? regardless...) was some sort of work-o-holic before he invented the cotton gin?

Many great advances have been made because people wanted to do the same task with less work. Or do something better with the same work. :geek

That's a nice radar dish, from whence it came?

That particular bit is actually two pieces that come from the Space Marine Vehicle Accessory "C" sprue. I've seen them primarily on Predators, if that helps.

are these still available? I can't find them on the GW site, do they come with any of the vehicle kits?

I would love a damocles for my supreme commander to ride around, and indeed die, in....

i think it still comes with every space marine vehicle kit (except the drop pod and land speeders) i know it comes with most of them. i suggest you look on ebay for a bits-seller for them (i recommend windowbox or wizardgames)

I've takensome of the advice from here and mixed Necron Abyss with Vallejo Black Grey and Flat Black ... to base coat one of my Epic Ork Kommando Mobs (the first of my Ork Infantry I started to paint, BTW) ... I like the results ... I'll see how they look after dry brushing ... looks promising !! ;D
