Hi all!

I have two questions regarding the Onachus list - I am currently planning my new Tyranid force.

First thing is this: list states that I can only swarm units that have been bought initially for the formation. But it doesn't say anything about a maximum of units.

I can only swarm if I do a marshal action or if I have blast markers/am broken and have to rally in the end phase, right?

So for example, I decide to field a Dominatrix and add 1 stand of Hormagaunts and 1 stand of Termagants. I get one blast marker, and in the end phase I rally. I have no enemies within 30cm and am not broken, and have augmented summoning, so I can throw 3d3 for swarming. In an ideal situation I could boost my formation to 1 Dominatrix and 11 stands (including the two original stands) of infantry this way, right?

Second question is about the hive mind: I can absorb other synapsse swarms without synapse creatures, right? This also includes any blast markers the formation might have. What about broken formations? Can they be absorbed? My initial thought was that they could be, but it is like when you assault a broken formation - they have 1 BM for each unit. Is it the same here, or is it possible at all?

that's it for now, thanks,
Markus

Yes and yes. Although slight note on the first question, you can swarm in the end phase even if you don't have BMs/are broken.

This should probably be clarified in the Swarming rule, because it can easily be read the way Markus did.

Is it possible to swarm twice a turn? marshall or hold action and then rallying?
If you are not broken or habe any blastmarker can you swarm as there is no need to rally?

greetings from berlin,
Duke

Yes, you can marshal when regrouping and when rallying, even with no BMs/not broken.
