Hey guys,
I am looking to put together a 3000 point elysian IG list using the 2012 compendium from these forums. However due to my lack of knowledge playing IG, especially a drop troop one such as this, I am not sure what to include in a 3000 point take on all comers list.
So what would you have as standard in any Elysian list?
Thanks in advance for the imput gents.
Scotty

Sorry for the delay - didn't see this post.
A good mix of units is the cop out answer. There are few unit types and the ones that exist will be limited primarily by your modeling abilities and your pocket book. Your Drop Troops are going to be your staple formation, but each 'type' has their benefit. Teleporting formations can be big, place themselves toward the front or behind enemy lines, find cover easily, and absorb a lot of damage (with the right cover). Transported troops will find themselves in valkyries which are useful.
Don't underestimate your Sentinels. With the teleporting ability and transport ability, getting these guys into 15cm for that MW shot is completely workable.
Be prepared to lose formations, but the high activation count will help you in this regard.
I'll try to find some old lists that played well for you to check out.
