I'm at a loss...

TRC insists on using the name Multiple Rocket Launcher instead of Apocalypse Missile Launcher. It's against his religion to use the modern name, or something. ;)

I just forget what the modern one is called, the acronym AML isn't as good and finally and most importantly I can't spell it well enough for the spellcheck to correct it!

The old one became a good acronym after the MRLS was made for the military because it does a pretty similar thing... but AML it has been for 5 years now...

Ahh...It makes sense now. That was my guess, that it was AML under some old name or something.

@TRC: LOL, I don't think AML is hard to remember or type sir!

AML does however look a lot more like AMTL than, say, MRL does.

I haven't had a chance to try this out, but this looks like a good idea to me. for version 1.02, have you considered using the alternate support missile warheads from the AMTL list in addition to/rather than the deathstrike? A 10BP single-shot missile would be pretty useful in the heavy support version. I'm not sure what that would do to balance, however. Just a thought.

Well, a slightly irreverent firstly, I can't make the dual quake cannon/Carapace landing pad Reaver I've just finished painting, so I'm kinda bummed.

Second though, has any thought been put towards looking at the titan weapon stats themselves, specifically having more that boost FireFight?

The popular large titans (basically, the great Gargant and the Warlock) work partially as they can advance/double and shoot at a formation, and also provide incredibly good firefight support for engagements, something Imperial titans aren't as good at. The laser Burner adds 4 FF attacks, but has no ranged attack, reducing the titan's ranged firepower by 33%/25%. The Melta Cannon only adds a single extra FF attach (albeit a stonking titankiller (d6)) but that's about it. That's about it for boosting FF.

If the Titan CCW was similar to the Eldar Titan Powerfist with a respectable ranged attack and extra FF attacks I bet it'd be a lot more attractive for instance.

Nothing to stop you using that fella in the AMTL or Skitarii army lists.

The Titan CCW is generally better than the Eldar & Ork CCW's in close combat, however. It makes your BTS Titan basically immune to close combat attacks, because noone's going to be nuts enough to attack it in CC.

I think we'll stick with a more limited set of weapons for the moment.

For the full set of weapons, there's the AMTL army list.

TRC isn't the only person who insists on not calling it Apocalypse Missile Launcher. I still call it its original name, a Multi-Launcher.

I have always liked the idea of having fixed weapon configuration variant titans to use with the rulebook lists. Although the flexibility of complete choice of weapons is great for a titan-centric AMTL list, this is a great way of getting more limited (and thus easier to balance) variety to stock configurations. Looks like you have included all of the FW versions which is good news. Good to see this is being developed.

I am another in the MRL camp. Does what it says on the tin.

But I still hanker for a Marathon bar!

Thanks

James

Where can I find sketches or diagrams of what all these weapons (and things like Corvus assault pods) look like?
