Cool. Although they had better be careful. GW might sue for the use of the word "Epic." ;D

speaking of the cover art, whilst playing spot the mini i got intrigued by the gig thing in the top right corner - is that a building or a huge vehicle? i don\'t recognise it.

if it comes as a self-contained-yet-expandable boxed game, I will buy so many copies....

very excited about this!

I was chatting with Doug about this a couple of weeks ago.

As far as I understand it, the idea is that these are a boxed set, with a third party rules set (al la Future War Commander) with a set of miniatures from the manufacturers in the box. Unit stats are on cards, and they include pointers to the manufacturers web sites and games as well. It's an interesting idea.

That's just the sort of thing that I need to get my gaming buddies out of the "GW or bust" mindset. Make it easy for people to try something new!

It lists them all by name and manufacturer on the site, apart from the MWG komodo which is listed as unnamed.

Nuts, really?

*puts away the 'L4 Indy 6mm Spotters Guide'*

Now I feel embarrased.
