I'm looking to make some deathstrikes for my steel legion and I think the hydra chassis makes a good starting point (plus it's a perfect match for my existing hydras style wise, which the metal SG ones aren't...) but now I need a whacking great missile to strap on the back

I spotted the underwing missiles from the 40k Valkyrie kit, but the only bits site I've found which stocks them, has none in stock....

Now I'm a little bit stuck, anyone have any ideas? or does anyone want to share their own scratchbuilds/conversions for some inspiration? (I'm trying to keep my army looking completely GW if possible, so while proxies are awesome, I really want them to fit my army theme)

Yep.

If you can, I'd wait until you see the Behemoth Large Missiles that'll be out with the Large Behemoth.

It's really not all that far off now.

Alternatively, the Guild Roc has some pretty tasty missiles. I just finished painting the components, so will get them uploaded during the week.

I'll get the missiles up tonight so you can check them out.

thanks matey!

looking forward to the behemoth, the assembly instructions on your blog are setting mouths watering all over the place I'm sure.....

I'd ideally like the missiles before Open War (14th April) so while not immediate, it's not far off.....

I'll make sure the Behemoth components are fast tracked. The actual Behemoth deadline is Salute so in one form or another the boxed set will be available for then (21st of April).

it's an option, but unless I can find some on a bits place which are actually in stock, it's going to cost me £16+ for two missiles.... I could buy the deathstrikes for that much..... :)

ooooh that is a nice one..... slightly enlarge the fins with a bit of plasticard and it would be a winner......

I'm still exceptionally interested in the behemoth's bits though........ :)

In the privacy of your own home.

You can bet I'll be fondling my Behemoth Bits when they arrive too.

You could go Tamiya and get one of the several sets they make of 1:72 aircraft weapons?

EW are busy installing extra network capability so the rush to buy them doesn't create a galaxy-destroying black hole.....
