Hi!
Thought I'd share an experience I had over the weekend that was totally coincidental and yet proves to be most entertaining...
Several days ago, as I usually do, I was surfing the diverse forums related to miniature gaming. One thread caught my attention, not due to content, but the fact that I noticed one poster had his town and country list underneath his user name.
The poster was from Puerto Rico. That was shock enough, finding a fellow mini gamer in PR after so many years. I decided to contact him and see what got going, he does play epic (yet.. ), but any mini game at this point would be fun.
After some e-mail exchange, he tell me that he found a minis store in Puerto Rico.....
....shock, more shock and then...some more shock.
I had looked high and low followed many leads and never came up with anything. But my new found source of information tells me he got the name through "wizkids" and their directory for stores that sell their products and run their tournies.
I would have never thought of doing that namely because I dont play "clickie games".
So I get the number from him and call. Lo and behold! I pretty much find the "nest" where a few of the gamers who supported me when I retailed were now playing and enjoying themselves.
I make an immediate trip there today and to my increasing shock, the place was well located, nice atmosphere, lots of tables and people playing. Just as good as a store in the US. While I was there I got re-acquainted with old friends and saw games of "clickies", confrontation, warhammer and some other stuff.
I will be playing void and warzone soon and even epic may be in the pipeline.
Needless to say these have been surprising and well....happy...events that no doubt will change what I do with my free from now on.
I guess the "fates" decided to throw primarch a bone.
...and primarch is happy....

That's great Primarch, I'm lucky with BFG, 40K, WHFB, and even (though rarely) MoW. No-one plays Epic and Warmaster (a scale-gap!) but I guess I should be doing something about this myself, seeing the raw material is there! That's one good thing about my work-in-progress-Epic Eldar army - I'll eventually have two painted Epic armies (if you count my very dark and gloomy drybrush-Chaos troops), and I guess fixing a couple of small battles could be feasible. So - Fate dropped me into Epicomms, which lead to my Eldar army being painted; hence, Epicomms could be the bone to set my Epic tail wagging. ?

Excellent! I had a similar type of situation years ago, and diversified to many new game systems to play there and see what they were about, many I would never have tried. It was a very rewarding experience.
I hope you enjoy your new found wargaming environment... and inflict a few lightening victories upon them before they know what hey are in for!

Hi!
Whats even MORE shocking that I learned that there are some long lost epic players itching for epic's revival.
Looks like I will have to start one of my "crusades".

Primarch | WOW! good news all round.
What with the trial run tournament being the biggest Specialist games tournament since 2002 (before its even released!) & players showing up all over the place, I have to say my hopes are greatly rising for this game's success.

Not today Tuff. I'm off the fence on this one now. I even ordered the Epic A book from UK and am coordinating with the store own to impress the locals with "primarchload" demos.
It will be later though, since its not until late april, early may that he'll possibly be able to order minis for the "big day". By then I'll have the book and have planned a "epic blitz" for the games release in PR.
The primarch moveth forth!

That's great news Primarch, I'm happy for you!
I'm currently halfway thru a 40k tournament, but the tyranids I'm using are based on my epic nids if that counts for anything... Plus our local club is having a big multiplayer game of EpicA in two weeks... Orks versus Marines.
