Well, I am working on a Chaos army right now... ;-)

In context of the list, they're not game breaking. It's just that they're pretty much the best 225pts you can spend on a WE in the game, barring those Slaanesh CCW Titans, IMO. They make the 25pt cheaper Baneblade, or even the extremely similar Stormsword, look like dinky toys.

The main problem is that (like knights actually) they're annoying to play against because they don't have any obvious weaknesses to anything other than multiple damage TK weapons. Most Superheavies can be countered at least partially by CCing them. Not so this one.

I'm open to looking at cost+CC post-armybook but without fearless I don't seem them being used. As for the subjagator its the best example of a unit where you see the stats written down and it looks fantastic but play with it and its so specialised that its very hard to use. It can only CC and even at CC its only really good against other WEs as the CC TK attacks can't spread onto units in FF. In 6 games at britcon with 2 of them using Emperors children (so decent SR) I managed to get them into CC 4 times - with some rangers, a shadowsword (lst the engagement), warhound (killed it) and another shadowsword that they killed. Most of the time they were reduced to sniping with their battlecannons.

So, against Baneblades then, heh. :-)

Shadowswords - if you can get to them without them killing you first....

Knights can be broken and hacked down or kept broken (2+ iniative). Admittedly it's hard to do so, but they should start most combats down 2 for being badly outnumbered and then you factor in BM prepping, etc etc.

Perhaps it does not fit here but I would like to know where I can find some good proxy solutions for the Decimator model.

Kind regards,

Yo Fred,

I use some of the old SHT with a little conversion work. The stormhammer seems to fit the bill quite well with the sponson gun representing the stubbers and the two snub battlecannons the IC main weapon.

Just a couple of thoughts, I play BL and LatD and have used both the decimator and the slaanesh titans. I have to agree that while the subjugator is very good at its job, it is so specialised that it very rarely gets to do its thing! Being pretty much useless outside of close combat with WE keeps it balanced, i think.

The decimator is good, and relatively cheap but i would usually rather have the slightly more expensive warhound. Voids, two guns and a much faster speed make it far more attractive.
