We definitely don't need two units. You are duplicating functionality in the list.
Not to worry chap - no one in the thread is suggesting two units in the army list. It was just a re-naming suggestion, that I don't think should or will happen. Proxying one as the other is best.

the Epic Whirlwind model was looking like the FW hyperios, so it would have been confusing.
There's enough differences between an Epic Whirlwind and Hyperios that I don't think it would be that confusing IMO. A Hyperios launcher is larger, points a little higher angle upwards in its default pose and has 20 missiles, compared to the Epic Whirlwind which has only 10 or 6.
It would generally be obvious which is which from whether it is a formation of 4 or a lone attached one anyway, plus most sensible players would paint the launcher and/or missiles different colours to help identification. Even if you had a formation of Whirlwinds plus a Hyperios and had to look a little closer to check, it wouldn't be the end of the world, nor any different from doing so with a formation of 5 Land Speeders with one Tornado, or other similar looking mixed unit formations.

should a proxy appear, Hyperiosi should have the same stats as a Hunter.
Well, you already know some us are very keen to see one when time allows (plus the two modern units missing from the marine line-up; the Land Speeder Storm and Thunderfire)
