Krieg Players

I was wondering what styles people like to play with Krieg. My current list is:
Reg HQ w/Gorgons
Inf Co w/Gorgons
Death Rider Co
2 Heavy Tank Platoons (Vanqs)
SHT Co - Shadowswords
Grenadiers w/Centaurs
2 T-bolt flights
I pretty much designed this list around having every unit be resilient in one form or another. I play against Eldar regularly, and find that the Voidspinner pretty much nullifies any unit that is three strong. So, I have stopped taking weak units unless I can have 3 or more of them. Whether strong or not, this list is a lot of fun to play. Also, does anyone use the Macharius Vulcanum command tank? My thoughts on it is the loss of range is too great of a drawback to take. I might consider it if it's FF value got a bump to 3+.
I am slowly building up my weapons platforms and fortifications so will hopefully play a more defensive leaning army. Any thoughts on Krieg are welcome.

after reading the current list i've decided to go on a more defensive style of play with my hq unit being reinforced by more infantry and guns near by to help hold their trench lines. but some attack elements also, the second infantry unit in gorgons, and of course a rider unit.
though i am yet to have them, i'm going to get some otterware for some things in the list but as for others i'm set.
i see it as a list to combine firefights with while exploiting weaknesses with your hard hitting gorgon unit. i might end up (depending on activations) with my main infantry force having three gorgons with 10 extra infantry in it. I don't know yet.

I think defensive play can work well. AA platforms are rather good and cheap. You should put heavy AA on the T&H objectives, and use hydra platforms to defend the blitz. Putting them on overwatch is a great way to burn activations. I have heard good things about artillery companies since you can start them in garrison. Put them on your blitz.

You will find your infantry companies are quite resilient and will scare the hell out of your opponent. Gorgon mounted infantry can handle a lot of things. Keep your infantry inside the gorgons until needed if you are running against artillery heavy forces. Keep your infantry outside of the gorgons if facing an army with TK weapons.

If going defensive, you will probably want Engineers as they give you mobility and deny TSNP to your opponent. A unit of Macharius tanks can provide you with ranged fire. They have done well for me and can lock down part of the battlefield, which is key against highly mobile elements.

Well, as soon as i get some money built up in savings for "toys", a full unit of Macharius tanks are goign to be bought and used as a semi-stationary attack element. probably backed up by infantry of some sort. Also some "stoner" medusa stationary guns to provide up close cover so anything that gets within 15cm to firefight gets waxed. I like artillery alot though i know in huge masses that first hit is wonderful to see but the next turn your going to lose over half of it to long range fire, or teleporting/planet fall troops. I finally own a full company of basilisks, and Manticores, and a 6 count formation of old style bombards. (they were originally for my amtl but the list has changed since i painted them) So i'm thinking a very ww1 kind of feel with artillery in the back and troops holding the line, while assault troops in gorgons backed up by russ's and or Macharius tanks. with another force of Krieg riders taking another objective as a decoy. or actually using the big thrust as a decoy to get somebodys attention.. possibly use one of the six reavers in the list too that i have, or maby the two warhounds. I'm not sure yet because i only have 48 guard painted, not to mention the storm troops(thank you DRM) that i have painted up.
I need to get me some gorgons, i actually want three for my big infantry mobile unit but two will have to suffice when i get the money.. i'll leave the big infantry at guard in the trenches with the hq. I have learned that it is almost imperitive to always have a supreme commander, especially with the guard.
Btw,, is there any one paint scheme that the Krieg have,, i've just done my guard with a "buff" coat look.. Starting with Vallejo's green brown and building up to middle stone. Some of my friends say,, i can't believe you put three colors on that 6mm miniature, but i say,, there is a coat,, it needs to look like a coat. not to mention,, about 4 levels of basing including static grass.. My camera sucks to take pictures but i'd love to show them on here. as for my vehicles, their very "russian"/cadian, ect.. olive green with green brown stripings. But i see the krieg using other regiments and such on a large campaign. Let me see, i also have 6 demolishers and 6 hellhouds too.. i have a lot of vehicles..lol. As i told Otter,, i need to fill in some spaces for about three army lists to bring them up to where i want them.

Its like, i already own three eldar lists (and with the work going on with the eldar titan list, i have one more to play with),, i like being able to field different lists for my opponents. i never want them going, ok. Dughan is playing with his guard,, i know exactly what he's fielding and the counter to it... i like to have a collection big enough to ALWAYS keep them guessing and worrying. Same goes with my ork list(WAY to many points there to count) or even my rather bland space marine list. And i'm still working the kinks out of my Squat list (the latest demiurg list).
