So yeah, I dropped off the face of the earth for awhile. Needless to say, other projects have been taking up my time (my child being the biggest time sink )

Here is the Flakturm building itself. It has been primed already, but here are the before pics. I plan on doing the weapons separately so I can remove them for transport.




Needless to say, I learned a lot about making molds of the walls and what to do differently next time. This is my MkI, so it is not perfect. MkII, when I get to it, will be much better. This will be good as a viewing from the tabletop piece.

Excellent stuff mate, I cant wait to see the finished product, any chance you will be doing some exporting of the sides? Would you be willing to post the design for the roof section with measurements.

I can get you those measurements. I can even make it easy as the plasticard i used was laid out in squares. As for exporting the sides, my mold broke, so i would have to make another from my master, but I have no mix right now.

That, and I want to redesign it a bit. I had to do a ton of grinding and a whole lot of patching to get it to fit together. This was an experiment, so I know what to do better next time.

Here is the (almost) finished flakturm. The Hydra guns are magnetized, as is the Defense Laser portion.

I still need to add more point defense systems (thinking of using titan carapace multi lasers) and adding a landing pad decal on the top deck (which will be covered when the Defense laser is attached).

All in all, not to bad.
